Re: timing advance on a rev 5 na
You should be able to run 12 degrees btdc on 99 Ron fuel, anymore than this and you need to be careful not to detonate especially on hot days etc. ideally it needs to be advanced on a dyno so you can find MBT, otherwise keep advancing until you just start to knock then back it off a few degrees but ...

Re: ct26 on my Rev 3 ???
the ct26 has a thicker shaft (always a good thing lol) hence why they are a better base for a hybrid rebuild

I am fairly sure the answer is yes but I would wait for peter to respond as he will be able to advise 100% and he sells the bush kits to suit

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] PUG_2_MR2: Plans On Tuning My MR2 MK2 REV 3 Turbo
you are on the right road, use OE ignition components and i use the same plugs but change them every oil change (around 3k miles)
its your choice but i would fit an electronic boost controller and then get it booked in on the dyno so you can check air fuel ratios as you increase the boost

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] chargecooler pump at front of car?
So do you think I should use a swirl pot mounted in the frunk? when you consider the weight of the pre rad and the water it contains, plus the weight of water in the pipes to and from, the pump isn't going to unbalance the car at all. that and the gearbox is nearer the centre of the car so better fo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] chargecooler pump at front of car?
i have removed a fair amount of weight from the front of the car already, no air con, spare wheel, tools, frunk trim, fog lights, carbon bonnet so i am keen to relocate anything i can to the front of the car to keeps things balanced however don't want to put the pump at the front if its going to be ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] chargecooler pump at front of car?
have just received a GT4 chargecooler pump and i'm surprised at the size and weight of the thing so thinking of mounting it at the front of the car rather than on the gearbox to try and distribute the weight better, any reason i shouldn't?
