Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lumpy at low revs - ignition components?
Thank you very much for all your help Gareth!! One final question, while I'm at it I figure I might as well give the car a fairly thorough service - and was looking at fuel filters, not sure when mine would have been last changed and can't be bothered to look through all my files to find out so for ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lumpy at low revs - ignition components?
I'll get them bought then! I'm gonna get the distributor cap and arm from my local Toyota garage, and hope it sorts the problem without having to go to the expense of new leads! Thanks for all your help!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lumpy at low revs - ignition components?
Hi Gareth,
Been driven to looking on eBay for those plugs, are these the right ones:

£28 seems a fair enough price

Re: Exhaust advice for Rev5 N/A
Mongoose exhausts are widely regarded to be the best commonly available exhaust for the NA MR2, I've had one on both of mine. Rolled tips on my current one, which I think look nicer

Chris, if you would that would be excellent!! Can I give you some money for it? Been meaning to go and see John for a while, driven past his car but never heard it fire up would be a great excuse to if he's ok with it!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lumpy at low revs - ignition components?
Thanks Gareth, I'll have to get some of those, as soon as they're back in stock!
Really appreciate the offer Dan, but I have a Rev5 and it's my understanding that Rev1/2 leads are different to 3/4/5? Thank you anyway

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Lumpy at low revs - ignition components?
Whew, Toyota stuff is a bit pricey having had a look on TCB! Might just get some plugs first and see if that fixes the problem, and then splurge on the rest if need be. Are these the plugs you mean: http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Toyota_MR2_2.0_1998/p/car-parts/car-service-parts/regular-service/s...

[Mk2] [NA] Lumpy at low revs - ignition components?
Hi all, My car has become very lumpy while driving around town at low revs, I'm guessing this is likely to be down to ignition components so plan to do a bit of an overhaul - plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, leads etc. and was looking for suggestions on what to go for in terms of brands. Car isn't track...

[Mk2] [NA] Headlights don't pop up properly
Hello all, having bit of an issue with my headlights, sometimes I turn the headlight knob all the way around and the headlights don't pop up at all, side lights come on, but no headlights - I have to flash the high beams to get the lights to come up and then they work fine. Any suggestions what migh...

Re: Sonic Shadow paint codes...
That's it! Couldn't quite remember the name from the guy's computer, taken me a good couple of years, multiple emails to Toyota (who were utterly useless fyi), and visits to a couple of paintshops - but finally have three paint codes!

Re: Sonic Shadow paint codes...
Still going well! Bit lumpy at low revs, so about time for an ignition service I think - that and there's a bit of rust appearing in the bottom of the driver's door, looks like it's been repaired before and not very well, blocking up drain holes. But both of those will be done as soon as I get time!

Re: Sonic Shadow paint codes...
For anyone that's interested, I found out what the paint codes were at my paint shop the other day. The silver *is* Lucerne 199, though due to different methods of manufacture by different paint companies they can look slightly different across brands - factor in degradation over the last however ma...
