Well, that was easy. It kinda went like this: - Got socket and breaker bar - breaker bar took my weight - sigh, too early for effort. - Impact Driver  - 15 seconds..... then this: https://i.imgur.com/8oWWMPn.jpg https://i.imgur.com/SJNcXWc.jpg https://i.imgur.com/GY6SBXF.jpg https://i.imgur...

Re: Turbo aftermarket fan shroud

I've an intercooler shroud, unfitted at the moment so if anyone needs a template drawing up id be happy to trace it and post either the sketch here or post the thing out.

Re: Ooops! Little help needed - Rear Axle 1995 Turbo Coupe'

That's some great advice there, thanks be l very much! :) I have recently bought a 32mm socket and a big ass breaker bar, hopefully it'll come off. If they doesn't work hopefully that Makita impact driver that turned up with it will game enough grunt to shift it. I'm just a bit concerned about the w...

Ooops! Little help needed - Rear Axle 1995 Turbo Coupe'

Hey all, need a little advice on the disassembly of the rear axle / suspension arms on a 1995 Turbo. Ive been studying the BGB and in true workshop manual style it all looks like it comes apart fairly easy enough. But is it. What am I getting myself into here? Reason for wanting to do this is to pai...

Mk2 Dashboard Removal

Hey guys, Trying to remove the dashboard and I think ive almost got it, about 8 bolts spattered across the dash and a couple of screws here and there, but the final bolt is an absolute pig to get to. Its hidden inside the passenger side de-mister vent (the triangular one on the top of the dash near ...

Re: Recaro seat rails, fit any other Recaro seat?

I dont have any specific seats in mind at the moment, but I do have rails from my current Recaro fishnets so just trying to get an answer to the above question for the moment.

Cheers.

Recaro seat rails, fit any other Recaro seat?

Ive heard somewhere that all Recaro seats share the same bolt pattern so the rails off one set, say a pair of OEM fishnets would fit any other Recaro seat. Before I go getting myself into an expensive mess, does anyone know if theres any truth in this? Ive done the usual google searching but nothing...

Re: 'Champ White' Turbo Build

Moving under the car and having a poke around, there was no visible signs of rust, infact the rubber sealant stuff that Toyota put on her has held up pretty damn well. Although it is looking a little tired so the exhaust heat shield came off for a paint too, and after a bit of cleaning I covered the...

Re: 'Champ White' Turbo Build

Once it was up in the air the inside of the boot was where I wanted to start, so I fully dismantled the area, that means the hinges, boot carpet, ECU and all wiring was removed where i could with only the ECU to make its way back in. There were a few small patches of surface rust I wanted to treat b...

Re: 'Champ White' Turbo Build

Right, well I continued the disassembly of the rear, I wanted to have a real good look behind the lights, the rear bumper and perform some maintenance I knew was looming but had been putting off for a while. Whilst I could have started at either end, the way the car was parked on the drive way, the ...

Re: 'Champ White' Turbo Build

We've had some beautiful bank holidays and ive got stuck in. Since the carpet is out and wont be going back in for a while I thought now's a great time to strip more of the interior out and restore that best I could. https://i.imgur.com/VFCSArj.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9uZ2jKy.jpg https://i.imgur.com...
