Re: REV 1 GT - @ Back Home

Hi All, Time is flying by so fast again and keep forgetting to update on IMOC. The last update she was running around 443hp and then we had a little tweak up to 471hp. Monday July 3rd we were back on the dyno for another session with some nice safe result. 533hp @ 1.6 bar (progressive boost map) Eng...

Re: REV 1 GT - @ Back Home

Hi All, 2 months since I last posted! Time is flying by which is good as it means dry roads soon! Not done to much to the car since being mapped other than putting a few miles on her when possible. Ive done around 700 miles since being mapped on low boost @ 1.2 Bar Car has never missed a beat...

Re: REV 1 GT - @ Back Home

Started the complete new map getting everything setup and then started doing a few runs. 4th run and one of the coil packs decided to go pop so drop...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Camshaft Removal without taking the complete belt off

Hi All, Has anyone removed one camshaft at a time without removing the timing belt? I have seen this done before on other engines like Evo engines etc. If I set up the timing to TDC and then cable tie the timing belt say in 3 or places to the cam pulley whilst keeping tension on the belt I should be...

Re: REV 1 GT - @ Back Home

I have just been looking @ Water Meth Kits but not sure what to do at the moment?... The only attraction for me on these kits is any safety factor they can add rather than extra HP. Will speak with Jamie and ask what kit will work best through the Syvecs and decide what to do from there. Cheers Craig

Re: REV 1 GT - @ Back Home

Hi Rob, Yeah was good to catch you @ Evotune the other week, What were you final figures on the Dyno then? Bet it feels pretty damn quick. MR2 dropped off this morning for sump removal and re-fitting due to a small leak. Sump is brand new and will get cleaned and re-sealed with new bolt kit. Just or...

Re: REV 1 GT - @ Back Home

Hi All, Well I've had the car home for just over 1 week and it has a basic map so I can get some miles on the engine. I've done around 170miles with no issues other than a small weap from the sump - It's going in Wenesday to get the sump taken off cleaned and re-sealed & new bolts. Starts on the...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Sump Gasket or No Sump Gasket ??

Cheers Guys,

Mine is weaping a little so will whip it off clean the faces and refit with new boots! Or might fit studding as you can get a bit more torque on them.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Sump Gasket or No Sump Gasket ??

Mk2 Turbo (Rev 1/2 Block)

Can someone advise if a dump gasket is required? I know you can buy them but I have heard they are just sealed on also?

Re: REV 1 GT - @ Back Home

That looks nice, the black looks really subtle.. It looks like the vac line from the dump valve is connected to the top port (I.e the boost controller port) on your tial waste gate though? Hi Rob, Yeah the boost line has been changed now as the Syvecs boost solenoid has now been plumbed in. There h...

Hi All, Can anyone advise if the REV 3 Injectors were low or high impedance type?.. I know the REV 1 & 2 were LOW and they had the booster pack to up the signal back to the ECU. Basically im running Syvecs ECU so the booster pack has been deleted from my loom, But the Syvecs does not support LOW...

Hi All, 05/09/15 With only 4 working days before JAE I think the car will not be done :( Syvecs wiring is nearly 100% and engine still needs to be turned over for the first time, Intercooler piping needs mocked up and fabricated, Also car needs MOT'd so I very much doubt I will make it next week.
