Hi The Lambda (O2) sensor is bolted into the top of the downpipe, just before it goes over the top of the rear subframe. Wouldn't just having the ignition on before you remove the needles (have them on the stop pins) ensure the motor shaft can't move as it will be locked to 0mph & 0rpm, not sure how you'd do the others though

I'd do a search regarding oiled filters on mr2's. I could be wrong but I believe the general agreement is to stay clear of oiling and stick to dry type filters as the oiled one's clog up the MAF sensor. This might just be on the turbo's though.
