Black Rev 5 alloys

Hi I have gloss black powder coated rev 5 alloys on a black rev 5 (same as yours), if you want to see how they look I will find or take a picture later and post up for you, they came coated when I bought the car but I like them and can't justify spending out for nicer alloys atm, even though I keep ...

Repair

If it's rusted through the weld, you could always get an exhaust shop or welder near you to look at it, as you might be able to fix it and save replacing it, provided it's not going to be visible unless you're lying on the ground

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 1st gear is slow

Hi nordland071285 If its really loud past 5000rpm it is most likely the ACIS as mrturbotom said. Because when ACIS is working it actually reduces induction roar. And trust me, you certainly shouldn't need to change into 2nd gear that early. What tom was saying is that the engine sound should change ...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] can you fit after market steering wheel on rev 5?

Hi ceejay Yes! You can very easily change to an aftermarket wheel on a UK rev 5, I have one too and just changed my steering wheel back in November. You don't need to disconnect the battery, although as a safety precaution it won't do any harm, I disconnected mine, but that's because I was following...

Love it!

Hi I love this :thumleft: I think it really suits the lines of the car, especially in the finished side view photo on page 3, the angle of the spoiler seems to perfectly match the line that runs down the middle of the car. From the back it works really well with the rev 1/2 square rear lights, I thi...

Part worns, what are they good for? Drifting!

IMO, part worn tyres will always be a grey area for discussion, yes you can pick up bargains now and then where the tyres haven't been ragged to pieces. But on the other hand you are risking a lot based on the tyres being 'ok' there are plenty of other places and ways to save money that aren't going...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Rev4T with OEM airbag steering wheel ... Choosing the right BOSS kit ...

Hi mate Sorry for the late reply, been really busy this week and haven't had a chance to get on the forum. I've never seen a steering wheel like that without the horn buttons, but I've also not owned an imported MR2 so chances are the airbag is electrically wired in if you can push the airbag for th...

Not exploding an airbag in your face at cloes range lol

Hi Have you got a picture of your steering wheel with airbag, as I have literally just changed mine on my UK rev5 na and it was actually really easy. I don't have the steering fog lights on mine but looking at how the rest of the steering assembly is built (i.e. stalks etc.) I would imagine the syst...

Yellow lenses

Ren0W I completely agree with you, it does make you question the quality of them if you don't know who made them, but they are usually better quality than if you attempt to tint them yourself with no experience of the job. And I also agree with you saying no yellow lenses on a red car, it just doesn...

tingting film

If you're only after the yellow lenses then you can either use a tinting sheet off ebay to mod your exisitng clear ones to make them yellow or look at buying something much more expensive - OEM replacment yellow lense fog lights (link below) www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90-99-Toyota-MR2-Crystal-Front-Fog-Ligh...

Pink mr2 mk2 (rev 3?) on M5 near Cheddar in Somerset

Saw a very bright pink mr2 (rev 3 I think) being driven by a young blonde woman on the M5 back on Sunday the 8th near Cheddar. Looked very sexy, and the car looked nice too

What is this pipe?

Hi When you say you've broken the "nobbly part" of the pipe, do you mean the larger diameter piece on the end that is pushed into the intake pipe? I cannot remember exactly what this pipe is linked to, but I can tell you that it is an important vacuum hose, if it is still securely linked i...
