Rev 4 UK. Lost key.

Hi,
I have a rev 4 UK car that I've lost the key for. I've been reading that you can pair new keys but you need a master key to do that. I've got the key code from the barrel and have a key on the way. Does anyone know how I can go about pairing this to the car?

Thanks.

Repairing rust underneath scuttle panel.

After finding an inch of water in the footwells I've found a couple of holes in the corners underneath the scuttle panel. https://i.ibb.co/BCz8d2N/IMG-20190616-170224.jpg It's rough position is here: https://i.ibb.co/jwR3PTS/281876089.png Has anyone got any ideas on how to go about fixing it, it's t...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Small metal pipe attached to magnetic sump plug

The small pipe ist pressed into a housing that has a simple ball valve. The housing itself is screwed into the block. It looks to me like the piston and the squirter had contact.......aftermarket pistons maybe? Perhaps, not sure how else it would shear off. I'll have to take a look at the (mostly J...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Small metal pipe attached to magnetic sump plug

Tbh many 5s builds run without them. They aid in cylinder cooling rather than lubrication. But yeah looks like a squirter. Did you find the retaining screw / pin? Not sure how they are secured tbh. Just trying to think how it got past everything into the sump....is it even possible? All I found was...

I guess you now have one cylinder wearing a little bit faster than the other three :(

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Small metal pipe attached to magnetic sump plug

After some research, it looks to be part of an oil squirter, can anyone confirm? If so how urgently does it need replacing?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Small metal pipe attached to magnetic sump plug

Upon removing my magnetic sump plug I found a small steel pipe attached to it, does anyone know what it's for?
It's a Rev 2 Turbo.

Re: Rev 2 Turbo AFM refurbish.

All sorted, switched the ECU out first which helped the idle problem but didn't help with the hesitation. Then swapped the AFM and it seems to be running much better now. Thanks all. :thumleft:

Re: Rev 2 Turbo AFM refurbish.

From what I've been reading (idle dipping and then slowly coming back up / poor starting / stalling randomly) it sounds like I might be needing that ECU as well!

Re: Rev 2 Turbo AFM refurbish.

Driving home last night it decided it didn't want to go above 50 and was stuttering / hesitating a lot. Pulling the EFI fuse for a couple of minutes seemed to make it run better (still not 100%). Would this make sense as the AFM is faulty or is there something else wrong?

Was fully working when it came off the car as car was running fine.

Cheers, are you able to test it according to the BGB for me?

Re: Rev 2 Turbo AFM refurbish.

Thanks for the reply had thought about getting a second hand one but worried that unless the seller knows how to test them it may also be faulty. I'm going to try cleaning it first (looks like someone's taken the top of it before anyway), if not I'll try Wood Sports like you suggest. I have seen one...

Hi, does anyone know of anywhere that does AFM refurbishment / repair? I've measured the resistances of mine and they're all over the place. Toyota UK want £1016 for a new one!

Heater Hose Part Number

Spotted a leak yesterday (whilst having to remove an undertray which was making a bid for freedom on the A46) it looks to be coming from these two hoses. Does any one know the part numbers of the two rubber hoses (Rev. 2 Turbo) that go to the metal coolant pipes on the passenger side of the engine? ...

[Mk2] [Generic] Left door Speakers not working.

Hi all, As the title says the left door speakers aren't working. Things I've tried: Testing wires from amp to plug inside the door, both fine. Testing wires from head unit to amp, both fine. Swapping the left and right outputs on the head unit, this played the sound from the left channel on the righ...
