Re: [Mk2] [NA] advice needed after visiting a mechanic

The cam cover should have been removed to line the cams up when re-fitting the cam belt. If a new one was not fitted it may well be leaking oil from there I did wonder that and yes leak is from the cam cover. MR2 Rich - I'm based in Sussex on the South coast. I did hear there was a MR2 specialist g...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] advice needed after visiting a mechanic

The engine has been run up regularly whilst being worked on over the past year and had nothing in the way of leaks. Im not sure exactly where its coming from yet. Just wondered if when they had to drop engine or remove the water pump could they have caused the leak?

Re: [Mk2] [NA] What is this screeching sound?

Have you checked all your heat shields underneath and around your exhaust & manifold? I had something similar on a previous MR2 also check nothing else loose, sounds small almost like a washer.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Wiring front fog lights to side lights

Oh what a surprise, yet again our nanny state has a stupid law which makes a car more visible during the day illegal. I wonder how all the other European countries manage as some have a requirement to have headlights on all the time!!! ](*,) I don't know why I should be surprised really, just look a...

[Mk2] [NA] Wiring front fog lights to side lights

Hi all - can this be done or has it been done. Yes I have done a search and only found wiring to headlights. I would like to have the front fogs on without having headlights pop up so was thinking about wiring to side lights and then being able to use like a daytime running light. Would it just be a...
