Yer I can watch the arm move about half a inch and I'll ask mr2 turbo boy is I can borrow 1 of he's to confirm the gauge if not I've got other 1 floating about the garage

The car is running and revved up at stand still which makes boost when the car is turned off reads zero and when idling reads negative 30 psi

Just a normal boost gauge that was on that engine in the old turbo body that's why it's confusing me it shouldn't be doing it but when I press the throttle the boost goes up to 10 psi and wastegate opens and it drops down is there any way it could be miss wired or the tvis could cause this problem i...

I've put a tee in for the boost gauge in the fuel pressure regulator as well as the map sensor and both reading came up to 10psi of boost stationary until the wastegate opens any idears why I have this I was pretty sure like you said that the car has to be under load driven to build boost cheers James

When I rev it up the boost gauge reads above 0 so 7 psi ect from what I remember it never used to would this be from the actuator ??

Removed down pipe to see if it's catching and fileda bit off fit it all back together still getting same problem the actuator is moving also at a stand still when revving it up should the car be building boost ???

Its a rev 2 turbo engine in the na shell pretty sure fuel cut is lower on them round the 15-16 psi mark

Hey guys boost gauge fitted hit fuel cut went to 15-16 psi does that mean I have a actuator problem / maybe hitting on the aftermarket down pipe ?? Cheers James

The auctator moves unsure on how far it opens might take the down pipe off just to make sure it's not hitting but yes it's just a standard turbo the car just feels like has no power at all [/img]

Hey guys as it say I have a over boosting problem I've recently done a na to turbo conversion and rebuilt the engine I ve not got a sticking actuator but was wondering if the timing was slightly out if it would cause lack of power and overboost pretty sure I've not got any air leaks but I'll double ...

Just need some advice on the wiring in passenger foot well changed the engine loom and 1 plug is perfect but the other 2 small ones are no where near is it easy to repin our just change the loom on the front[/list]

If you jack up the back of the car you have good access to the knock sensor and would say remove it and find out what type of clips is on the end and go from there
