Re: Introduction and tyre opinions
Toyo T1-R's should do you well if you're running standard wheels, you can get them from ears.co.uk if you're lucky they'll have them in stock and you can get them for all 4 tyres, rears were around 80 per tyre I believe fronts were around the 50 mark If not and I'm not sure you can get them in the r...

Re: Southern / Sussex / Hampshire guys and girls?
Took it to get wheel alignment done and found a hole in the floorpan,
It needed too much to get it roadworthy so it's been scrapped and I'm now driving a Leon Cupra instead

I'm not sure I'm only brainstorming
The fuses may be in the drivers side footwell. If not they maybe in either the frunk or engine bay ?

Re: Im a jap virgin... faults faults faults
Bit of a daft one but could it possibly be a fuse somewhere which could maybe explain why no noise from the motor?
If not then as Peter said motor or broken wiring somewhere?
Could you not take the doorcard off and push the window up from the inside?

Sorry for the delayed reply, I bought my headlights with a 35 pound best offer (40 buy it now)
Generally Nightbreakers are widely acknowledged as one of the best sets of bulbs you can get. I'm sure I've seen them on eBay at around £15 for the 2
I'll have a look and grab a link when I can

Re: change of old headlights? but what to?
Hi mate I fitted a set of the crystal Raybrig lookalikes to my old MR2 and was very pleased with them, as HID's aren't strictly legal I'd perhaps avoid them and fit the Crystal lights with some Osram Nightbreakers or similar I'm sure they'd be more than capable

Re: Thinking of moving to an sw20
Be sure to check the sills on the MR2 as well mate they're prone to rusting there as well and not a cheap fix by any means

Re: Thinking of moving to an sw20
I think you'd be surprised how nippy the MK2 1.8 MX-5 actually is, A friend has a JDM RS spec and it's quite nippy, Not so much flat out fast but certainly lively enough and you can tell it's very light, it's a typical drivers car, the tail is more than willing to step out if you want it to and once...

Re: Thinking of moving to an sw20
Hi mate welcome along, I'll probably get flamed for this but personally I'd say that the mx5 is more fun to drive than the MR2, it may not be as quick but you do definitely feel closer to what's going on, they're not as manly granted and they do tend to rust as most cars that age do anyways (check t...

Uniroyal Rainsports are a pretty good all rounder although they're not as good in the dry as say T1-R's they're awesome in the rain and will last ages too

Mine was in the frunk about halfway over on the right hand side,
It could be the sticky relay although it doesn't sound like it as it'd put the light on usually

Re: Nankang NS-II's
No less budget than the Falken's I'd imagine, if guys are using them in the BDC on 5-600bhp cars without many problems I can't see how they can be bad to be honest. I've only heard good things about them and they come with a lifetime of the tyre guarantee so if there's a manufacturing fault with the...

Re: Nankang NS-II's
Falken = not so grippy due to being a stiffer compound however they'll last longer, Toyo = more sticky in the dry but will wear faster (I've been through a set of T1-R's in 4 months on my old Celica due to the shoulder blocks of the tyre being so soft) This is also due to the softer rubber If you're...

Re: N/A accelleration
Exactly although the mk2 Mr2 isn't a hairdressers car just the mk3 as it doesn't look very aggressive as standard The MR2 is quite heavy compared to the MX5 which is why it feels more planted and if set up correctly doesn't feel so bad in a straight line compared to the mx5 which tends to be blown a...

Re: Dutch RHD N/A SW20 MR2 rev2
Welcome along mate I remember you from the VVL Primera, You say you need new tyres the OEM sizes are 195 55 15 front and 225 50 15 rear on the UK spec cars. I'd recommend keeping the OEM sizes as opposed to the sizes you mentioned which I believe are from the Rev 1 with the 10mm stagger. The usual e...
