Re: [FINALIZED] Beams SW20 / £3000

I say keep it also. It's truly a lovely looking car and if I had the money I'd have it myself but sadly this isn't an option. Regarding the supercharger kit, obviously there's other work gone into it but a friend of mine has a Rotrex'd 2ZZ-GE Celica and that's pushing 414 according to a dyno printou...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Clunking from rear of car?

Hi Star thanks for the reply, I can appreciate what you're saying about it being not being easy to diagnose. I'm based down in Midhurst West Sussex. I'm trying to think of the best way to describe the noise it's effectively a hollow thump that sounds quite metallic if that makes sense. I'm hoping th...

[Mk2] [NA] Clunking from rear of car?

Hi all I'm hoping you can help me (again please) I've recently got my MR2 and have noticed a somewhat annoying metallic clunking sound from the rear of the car mainly when on a flat road or over an uneven surface. The car is lowered on FK Silverline coilovers (A year to year and a half old max) Chri...

Not to worry, took it to a MOT centre today and they said they could put it through under a non cat test :)

Cheers

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Matching Speedo and speed sensor

I apologise for jumping in on this but I have the same issue as in I have a G limited Rev 2 which also has 110 clocks yet my Speedo over reads by 10mph through the entire speed range. Would it be possible to just change the entire unit to UK clocks? I don't mind the limiter still being there but if ...

[Mk2] [NA] Cat question?

Hi all I'm hoping you can help me. I have a import 92 G Limited MR2 with a Mongoose cat back / decat and my MOT is coming up soon. Now I've had a look on TCB parts and it says that the Rev 1 and 2 have different cats to the Rev 3 onwards? I have a friend with a Celica ST202 which is the same length,...

Got home, read about the ignition fix, had a few doubts but tried it anyways, It's been working ever since :)

Re: Rev 2 J615 XFS black turbo

With the ages of mr2's most of us are having sloppy seconds lol. If I have my way it will live again and is it seconds If i owned first lol. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is if you have a car, you don't then sell and then buy it back as the chances are it'll be a dog. I'm saying purel...

Re: Apexi induction question

Ah that's fair enough thanks. I wasn't being argumentative I was only wondering if the Rev 3 onwards MR2's changed as the Celica's did on the UK specs etc

I learnt something new today :)

Re: Apexi induction question

He left it dangling loose. Cant be right !? It measures the temperature of the air when it's drawn in through the filter. The filter's drawing air in from the engine bay, so it's not going to be reading that far off if it's left hanging in the engine bay, is it? It's the same air! Does the MR2 not ...
