Yeah they must have been. I cut them off and fitted it with the OEM nuts and bolts, all sorted :)

16" tyre recommendations

Hi guys I've got a set of Skyline R32 GTR/GTS-T wheels to go on my Rev 5. They need a new set of tyres and was wondering what people recommend to use? The sizes I'll need are 205/45/16 and 225/45/16. I can get a set of Toyo T1-Rs for £328 fitted, what do people think of them? I've got T1-Rs on the f...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Mongoose exhaust fitting

They're welded to the rear of the two backbox mounting points. I figured they'd been added on by somebody to help in fitting without the OEM nuts & bolts.

Time to drill them off then!

Cheers :)

[Mk2] [NA] Mongoose exhaust fitting

Hi guys I bought a Mongoose exhaust last week and attempted to fit it tonight. The problem is that it has captive nut on with a different thread pitch to the standard backbox mount bolts. They look to be spot welded on to the mounts, are they there as standard or has somebody bodged this a bit when ...

Re: Toyota 3sge Revision 3 ACIS Spacer Group Buy

I'd be interested if it gives the same gains on a Rev5. What could I expect with a standard cam? Also, how much would an additional gasket be?

Cheers

Ah fair enough, cheers Nic :)

I did notice the old pads didn't have them on, I just wanted to make sure before I refitted everything.

[Mk2] [NA] Anti squeal slotted shims not fitting?

I'm fitting new pads to my 2 and ordered new anti squeal shims from Toyota as the old ones had rotted away. From the looks of it, the inner slotted shims won't fit with my Pagid pads though. I checked them against the old Greenstuff pads and it was the same? Do the inner shims only fit with genuine ...

Re: Parts catalogue

Cheers guys, exactly what I needed!

Another question, is there anywhere other than the dealers that stock OEM parts? I've come from a VW background and have always used TPS for this sort of stuff.

Parts catalogue

Is there an online parts catalogue for the MR2 anywhere? I need to get part numbers for the front caliper bolts, brake line crush washer, and anti squeal front pad shims.

I'm after something similar to RealOEM or VagCat ideally.

Cheers

[Mk2] [NA] Front caliper bolts torque setting

I'm going to be changing the front pads on my rev5 tonight and can't find the torque settings for the front caliper bolts. Does anybody know what they are please?

Cheers

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 17x8j front wheels

I'll have a look tonight :thumleft:. Once I (hopefully) have it rolling ok again, I'll be getting a full geo setup done. Any recommendations on decent places in Manchester?

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 17x8j front wheels

Cheers, I've ordered a pair and will see how I get on. I got a bit confused with my top mounts being adjustable too, but that wouldn't change the hub->strut angle.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 17x8j front wheels

My coilovers do have camber adjustable top mounts, and are fully dialled in for negative camber at the minute. If I adjust them, won't the strut as a whole move though, not giving me any more clearance? edit: Thinking about it, would getting some camber adjustable bolts like these allow me to change...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] 17x8j front wheels

I didn't notice it looking buckled, but will have another go :) The tyres are directional but I'll try swapping the front wheels over as a quick test too, cheers for the idea. If you have a short trip in the dry you should be fine. If it's still catching on the same side you may have to space them ...

Re: Jacking MK2 by 4 axle stands (no wheels)

I've put my stands underneath the ARB mounts on the front, it seems to be solid enough there but I haven't had it up on stands for any great length of time.

[Mk2] [Generic] 17x8j front wheels

As I've mentioned in another thread, I've been having some issues with my front N/S wheel after raising up my Tein coilovers. Old thread is here: http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=170962 It seems as though the wheel is catching on the adjuster rings, is this to be expected with a 17x8 ET3...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Grinding noise from front wheel

An update, I pulled the dust guard off but the noise was still there. When I took the wheel off, I noticed some light grinding marks on the inside edge that might be from the coilover adjuster rings. I spaced the wheels out a further 3mm (making 8mm in total) and went for a quick drive. The wheels s...
