Sorry folks, my 2 is now sold so I don't have a car to show them on currently.
As a result they are available for sale if anyone is interested, if so drop me a message.
Just wanted to drop in and give a massive thanks to James (CARDHORE) for the truly epic job he did on the below wheels. They went from : http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q279/CardHore/Wheels/DSC_0361_zpsce43fa2c.jpg to http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q279/CardHore/Wheels/DSC_0374_zps59cc252c.jp...
I'm not disputing what you're saying, but it didn't work with the pin in place so I don't think that's the cause of my issue, but noted for future when I replace the pads.
not sure, it looks to me like its totally the wrong cable with it having very little possible cable travel... My theory is that the caliper is all working its just that the lever cant be pulled far enough to make it function and apply the brake Does anyone know the actual difference between one of t...
Yes, its fully floating....
And I ground off the pin as not to cause problems as advised in another post i found by paul at woodsport so shouldn't be that causing a problem i don't think.
yes those ( until now ) totally useless foam washers that come ontop of a stack of CD's now have a use.
Fitted perfectly on the shaft and just covered the bearing so should work a treat
So I have a problem with my handbrake, one side works the other doesn't. Got under the car removed both wheels and under trays I then did the well documented process: slacked cable / wind in piston /wind out piston 180 degrees / re-assemble / pump brakes / adjust cables. still nothing on the passeng...
I stripped my struts last night to fit the Foam CD washers and once i got under the topmount realised that the bearing was a sealed bearing anyway so there was no real point in having a dust cover.
But i fitted the foam washer anyway
you are a legend.... I have been racking my brain trying to remember where i had seem a foam washer in the past couple of weeks.... and BAM straight in the kisser you come up with exactly where i have seem them... Thank you \:D/ :thumleft: EDIT: Might still try the leather belt as i think it ...
Jesus
Nice to see there not pulling your pants down for those
Are they Metal or a foam washer ?
I might just make some out of hi-density foam or rubber.
So, on re-assembly of the strut between the top mount and the spring cup is apparently a dust cover ?? Do i need to re-fit this strange looking foam washer ? Is it possible to make one out of anything else ? Or do I have to order a fresh pair from from Mr T or will anywhere else supply them ? #-o
Maybe I'm just getting old, but above 60mph all you can hear a dull drone. I haven't fully checked, but having had a quick look i would say the standard CAT has been removed and a Mongoose decat fitted as its not a straight pipe like most decat's its torpedo shaped one.. I'm just hoping that if its ...
So is the Mongoose system a lot quieter if you add a cat back into the system ?
That might be an option if i have a mongoose decat on it.. I need to check
I have a full Mongoose system from the manifold back and to be honest want something that doesn't drone as much as above 60mph it's annoying. Does anyone know if I will be able to just bolt on after the mongoose cat/de-cat pipe a standard replacement backbox ?? or do I need to take the whole system ...
