I've never been in a Beemer - is it true, then, that the indicator stalk is located in a locked cabinet beneath the passenger seat?

As a quick fix, though, better than the Halfords spray lube is actual silicon grease from a tube. Hard to come by - I got mine from Maplins - but it's far more effective than anything else I tried.

Re: the cheek of it ! G reg escort turbo

While i agree that mk 1 looks super cool just couldn't live with such an old car. I grew up being a passenger in the back of cars like that and even as a kid i didn't think much of them. Swings and round abouts. I get why people have such affection for them. Just not for me. You're right, of course...

IMO, this is the only Escort worth touching. My first car was a MkI (a 5-door; nothing sporty) and I still regret letting it go.

Just my 2p - the electric aerial breaks if you look at it a bit funny.

Also, might it be worth adding details of the paperclip trick, too, so people could do a fault check before they buy? (I wish I'd known about that before I bought mine...)

:-k

Shitting hell, that's tempting.

Two quick questions - Are you darn sarf (I assume you are from the Surrey mention)? How come it's got a toblerone on the passenger side and not on the driver side?

Have been saving up for an S2000 in the summer, but I like this a lot.

Re: 1994 Black Rev3 GT T-Bar Turbo £1000 - MUST GO!

Thanks for everyone who's been in touch but i'm going to hold off selling the car for the time being. Having heard about this scheme that the government is considering introducing in the budget in april where you can recycle your old car and get £2000 from them to spend on a nearly new car... But i...

Re: What is it with people?

What gets me most is that since I got rid of my MR2 (just biding my time until I get another, which is why I'm still here), I've had to drive the other half's Fabia. You wouldn't believe how much more you get cut up/pulled out in front of while driving a family hatchback. It's like a magnet for xxxx...

Re: BLACK MR2 GT TURBO 65000 TAX&MOT KENWOOD DVD £1550

what do people think of the price? am i asking too much or shall i just hold out for the right buyer? cheers I think the price is near enough spot-on; I think I'd be very interested if only you were closer to the north east (or I was still in the Midlands.) Maybe hold on for a buyer if you can wait.

[Mk2] [NA] Wossit worth...? Reconditioned cylinder head?

I've got a reconned cylinder head for a mk2 NA (UK model, for what it's worth) coming my way. It would be fully rebuilt, polished up, pressure tested... Any clue what this would be worth? Do they sell at all?

Thanks, Steve

Bump - original post now includes pics. Ignore the white marks on the splitter - they're gone now.

35 people watching and plenty of interest but no bids so far... It kept firing perfectly over the weekend, too. I think it just prefers the Midlands to the north east. :eye:

Re: [FINALIZED] Black Rev 2 T-Bar, plus entire spare rev 2 engine - any offers

Hi mate, the gearbox is great as far as I'm aware - never had any problems with it at all. The body work is probably about a 6 or 7/10. Its bubbling slightly behind the front wheel arches but is pretty much tip-top elsewhere. A few tiny dings elsewhere but nothing major at all. It polishes up nicely...
