Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures
I´m not so happy with the engine. Smokes out of the exaust, specially when cold.

It´s done !
Passed the TÜV check yesterday and managed it to get it registered bevor the late shift. Still have to clean up inside and find out why the radio don´t work, but it´s finally back on the road after 10 years !

...but was not aware this was actually a Toyota kit, that really does give it something special and not just another aftermarket bodykit. ... Haslbeck was an aftermarket fabricator independently from Toyota Germany, but Toyota bought much parts from Haslbeck and sold them as Original Toyota Accesso...

After 10 years still standing the polished wheels lost their gloss. So I used yesterday afternoon to refurb them. Took the hole afternoon, but is was worth it: http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_67.jpg One of the wheels was damaged from trailering the car in the past: http://www.toyotacarina.de/...

Re: Taking delivery of a Haslbeck Mr2
The correct writing is "Haslbeck" ,not "Hasselbeck" . No idea how much was made, but they was avaible from Toyota Germany who called this car "MR2 High Tech" .I have the original brochure of it. Sadly it´s oversized and don´t fit to my scanner. I know two Haslbeck here ...

Made the last steps today. Picked up the exaust from the machine shop where it was finally welded and gave the endbox a good polish: http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_63.jpg The part my mate and me made: http://www.toyotacarina.de/mr2_rebirth_64.jpg Bolted under the car: http://www.toyotacarina...

Re: My AW11 Fritzinger widebody. Some years of work in pictures
Project "Dicker" is on it´s way to the finish ! Bolted the driveshafts to the car in the last weeks, gave the brakes a revision including the installation of braided brake hoses from Goodridge and new brake discs on the rear axle. Also managed to get the new radiator stop leaking, final as...

Re: Project MRX350
The power output of HP and torque of my engine may have played a roll. Got a TRD made group N ST205 engine in my car with a full 3" exaust system, a Mines Racing ECU running on 102 oktane fuel and 1,15 bar boost and the gear box was the original one of the car with 195k km on it.

Re: Project MRX350
My faith in Toyota gearboxes was broken some weeks ago when the E151F of my ST185 Carlos Sainz exploded:
Will swap to a E154F out of a ST205 now and hope it will be more durable.

ST165 calippers + wich brakediscs ?
A mate of me plans to use ST165 twin pot calippers on his Mk1b, but don't know wich discs will fit. Redrill the Celica discs won't work as the german TÜV (equal to Your MOT ) wouln't accept this.
I know that some users of this board did this conversion so I am asking here.

Re: Project MRX350
The radiator looks familiar to me.
Hope Yours isn´t leaking like mine. Loose coolant at the drain plug. Already replaced the sealing, but it´s still leaking. Will have to take it out again and check the weldings.

Re: Front calipers mullered?
Late spec ST185 got the same brakes as late spec ST182: 275 mm discs and singel pot calipers. Shouldn´t be too different to find out wich are the right ones. Original part numbers are: 47730-20410 caliper, RH 47750-20410 caliper, LH Source: Late spec ST185: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_E_1992_TOYO...

Re: 4-AGZE STARTER MOTOR.
I've used a back plate from a 4A-FE on my 4A-GE to relocate the starter motor to the backsite of the engine to earn more space for the custom build four branch exaust manifold. As starter motor I use one from a 7A-FE ,took out of an AT200 Celica.

Re: GT4 Twinpots
You'll sadly need part numbers for all the seals, as you won't have a registration number or chassis number to give the Toyota Parts Department as some are very unhelpful and won't help you unless you have this at hand. I always use http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/q.html to search for part numbers. It...

Took out the distributor again today and put it back in with the correct setting. Also fixed the fuel leak (sealing of the fuel pressure regulator was rotten) .
