Thats not a bad price at all. The tyres alone cost more than that to buy new.

Re: New Person, MK2 MR2, Few Questions
1994 will most likely be a rev 3. Is it a one piece spoiler?
The engine is the 3SGE.
If it helps the colour code is 6M1 and is known as either Goodwood Green or Dark Emerald Pearl.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Apexi avcr mounting
I've got as single din headunit in mine had have wedged the AVCR between the headunit and the heater controls, pointed slightly towards me and is wedged firmly enough that it won't move through normal use.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Strange engine/turbo noise? (video)
Going by the current issue with mine.
Check all the manifold to turbo studs are tight, if the gasses are escaping prior to reaching the wastegate side of the turbo you won't make much boost.
Obviously check the intake side too.

Re: Can't let go.
Yeah thats probably the best thing to do. If I had the money to I would honestly be more than happy to put a few grand into it to get it back on the road. The turbo I've got now pretty much wants for nothing, there aren't many parts on the car which are still standard and any parts I could take off ...

Can't let go.
Probably not much point in me posting this. More of a sob story than anything. Basically my first car was a uk spec Rev 3 N/A, I had some great times with that car, I drove on track for the first time ever in it, I met a large number of my friends thanks to it, having the freedom to go where I wante...

Re: My new toy (Rev 3 Turbo aka Neela)
Just a quick update, discovered and solved the reason for it having the overboost issue, there has been an error code on the dash since just after I bought the car and I misread the fault code thinking it was an overboost issue, the previous owner checked the fault code and advised me that it was in...

Re: Still overboosting!
Quick bump, we appear to have solved the issue. The car was throwing up a knock sensor warning, so we changed the knock sensor, this seems to have cured the car's issue, no more overboosting, no more lack of power, it seems to be back to full health.

Re: My new toy (Rev 3 Turbo aka Neela)
I've been looking at MR2s since about a month after I got my Clio but haven't had the money until recently, combine that with the fact that I couldn't find one for sale that I liked. After getting a job in April I've been having a proper look at what was up for sale, the only ones I could find were ...

Re: Still overboosting!
Just a quick bump, I've just bought this car with the boost issue still present. Looking like a new turbo should sort that hopefully. Bit smokey sometimes and its overboosting quite a lot, when I change the turbo what other parts should I replace?

My new toy (Rev 3 Turbo aka Neela)
Well following on from my comment in Samgpr50's thread I've just bought his black MR2 from him, so far I'm loving it, it needs a new turbo however the price I paid took this into account, up to about 4500rpm its fine but if you inadvertently go over that then it hits the fuel cut hard, currently got...

Re: How do I get pops/flame on overrun? - rev 2 turbo
My new turbo spits massive flames, running a blitz nur spec and a berk downpipe. And when I say massive I mean about 4 foot long. Its epic!

I've got it cranking now but it isn't firing up. Don't think the fuel pump is getting any power to it.

[Mk2] [NA] No power to starter / fuel pump.
Ok firstly I'm an idiot. While removing the loom for the audio system I got annoyed and just cut all the wires which were part of that loom. I realised my mistake when the car wouldn't start and have fastened together the wires running to what I think is the fuel pump. There is one wire which seems ...
