Thanks for that. Only asking as I'll be purchasing some 252/260 cat cams soon with 8.5/9.0 lift, hoping for the same sort of output :thumleft:

You should get the low-end torque, but with the lift, the top end will be lower than the 256.

Hope the build goes well.

Re: Mr2 MK1 for sale - revised price.

Hi Lee, Little off topic, but what duration / lift cams are you running? Hi Have contacted HKS. Lift on the 256 is 10.5 and duration is .......256!!!! Cams were fitted (13 hours total work time) by Circuit Motors, who also fitted the Version 'A' chip to the piggy back ECU and did a full mapping wit...

Re: Mr2 MK1 for sale - revised price.

Not sure if you're getting PM's, but could you possibly send me some photos? Will send photo's taken a few weeks ago (only done 60 miles since MOT), but car is now having paintwork done to renew restored areas. These show up as light grey on photo's, but are currently primered awaiting base coat an...

Re: Mr2 MK1 for sale - revised price.

Lee, Thanks for the prompt response with photos. This MR2 has had so much done to it and would be a real bargain of a gem to someone who has the time to sort it out...unfortunately that person is not me. Thanks for the info also, it was interesting reading all the work that has been done. Good luck...

Re: Mr2 MK1 for sale - revised price.

Hi Lee, Little off topic, but what duration / lift cams are you running? Hi I have the invoice for the 256 cams and will have too look up the HKS specs and part numbers. I believe they are either 10.5 or 11.5 on the lift. Not sure about duration without doing some enquiries. I do know that the lowe...

suspension

pk_090 wrote:What suspension is on it Lee?

Hi

Polybushed and KYB's with uprated springs (sorry, no idea what make). Car has had thousands spent on brakes, suspension, engine and gearbox.

Currently on axle stands being painted to finish the restoration.

Mr2 MK1 for sale - revised price.

Having had a few enquiries, I have now revised the price of my well developed, 146bhp MK1 to the best offer I can get over £1,000, representing a huge loss on my costs over the past 6 months. It is fully restored on the chassis and has had thousands spent on the suspension, brakes, engine and gearbo...

Re: Forced sale of very quick MK1 - New MOT

Need a price please buddy. Forum rules when selling. Thanks. Hi My apologies. If I have to put a price on the car, I would consider offers over £1650. The engine and gearbox cost more than that amount to get to its current performance. Hope that helps and again, apologies for not knowing the rules....

Re: Forced sale of very quick MK1 - New MOT

Indication of price would be helpful :thumleft: Hi As mentioned in my posting, I have no idea what it is worth and each potential purchaser would probably have a different price in mind, which is why I said to come and see it and make an offer. I know it owes me more than I will get for it, so if y...

Forced sale of very quick MK1 - New MOT

Having spent lots of time and money getting my MK1b to its current condition, the weather and my health is enforcing the probable sale of my great MR2 MK1 (wind and snow have deteriorated and damaged the membrane and tiles on my roof and it needs a lot of work!!!). The car is a Mica Blue MK1b exampl...

French tracks

I live in Northern France and we have a great track near to us. It is Croix en Ternoise and it is located at St Pol Sur Ternoise, about an hour and a half from the tunnel. It is a very, very good track with long straight and a very technical section. The track owner is a total fanatic and owns an ex...

Tyres

Many thanks for the replies. We can use up to 17" tyres and I have obtained a very good set of alloys with slightly used Yoko Parada Spec 2, which have good writeups in forums and tests. I got them purely due to the price, as they will allow me to do a couple of trackdays prior to final fitting...

I am preparing a MK1 MR2 for the 750m/c Roadsports series (class C with 140bhp/ton) and am...
