Re: [FINALIZED] 1996 Rev 3 MR2 GT Turbo Yellow £1800 (new photos)

Seem like nobody has the dosh to buy these bargains, I was heartbroken to see my car go up the road on a trailer, felt like I was practically giving it away.

Could be.....or the pipe that goes from the front to the back and splits at the bracket where it connects to the car, inevitable really but its lasted 24 years without a leak so not bad.

Re: [FINALIZED] MR2 TURBO PROJECT.

Can you physically see evidence of the coolant in the engine bay and does it leave a patch on the floor? Could it be head gasket? Yes its on the floor. I'll post a photo later. Don't know but I haven't been driving the car, just starting it now and again, the coolant just appeared under the car one...

If only it was a hard top I'd bite you hand off for £1500.

Sorry, at the moment I'm firm on £2,200, I think I'm being realistic as the car will be worth £3000 + when fixed.

I've been advised I was asking too little so I've revised the price.

MR2 TURBO PROJECT.

Here is a nice project for someone with the time, skills and space. Been advised I was selling too cheap so I've revised the price. Not ruined by senseless modifications. Mature owner for the last 10+ years. Always kept in a garage. Its so nice I used it at my son's wedding last September. I bought ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Photo.....any ideas?

I went out to the car today and found this pool of oil/water mixed on the floor under the car. I knew I had an oil leak but the water is a new development, I'm assuming a hose has given up the ghost...HFH? Anybody want it for a grand? :thumleft: http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k95/superal_2006/IMG...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Red engine fan warning symbol

Still trying to solve this problem.
Could I have incorrectly wired the black and yellow bypass wire to the alternator which I had to do in order to make the alternator work?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Red engine fan warning symbol

Replaced the relay or whatever in the boot, still the same, so going to run the car with the sensor disconnected and the fan on all the time. Got the car up on the ramps to check the 3 wires to the alternator, these seemed fine but noticed I've still got a horrible oil leak after replacing the cam ...

It happens. Sometimes its better to cough up and get the problem sorted out by a pro.

I see Rouge gets great write ups, are they near you?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Red engine fan warning symbol

Right, I've been having another look around. I changed the sensor again and with the ignition on but the engine not running when I immerse the sensor in just-boiled water I can hear the relay click and the fan turns on but with the engine running the fan doesn't come on but the fan warning light com...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Red engine fan warning symbol

Tried another sensor, kindly donated by Thomp1983 but re light still coming on and fan not turning on when sensor is immersed in just-boiled water.

Went to the car today and battery wouldn't turn the engine over so parasitic drain somewhere?
