Spraying WD40 onto the key and inserting into the keyhole does wonders.
Frees up everything

Re: Boot Light Stays On - Switch Location?

If i remember correctly, to the RHS of the boot latch underneath the carpet lining there should be small grey plastic male and female connection. Just unplug that.

This or just take the boot bulb out, very easy to get to get to two seconds job

Love the attention to detail you have. Even down to getting rid of the aero wiper blades (One of my pet hates! ) back to OEM. Although not sure I'd have changed the side repeaters :-k

Re: Dyno results. 420@ the hubs.

I'm really happy for you Ryan, it's has been a LONG road  I agree with you about the turbo. CT20B is an underrated turbo for what it is. I went from CT20B to a GT3076. Nothing until 4.5rpm. Because of this, I changed to a GTX gen II of the same turbo, like night and day. Was an easy (relativel...

What a nightmare you've been having mate. Hopefully all will be right in the end What's the full name of your fuel pump? I've got a Walbro, nothing wrong with it the almost 6 years I've had it but it doesn't half whine after a spirited drive. I've learnt to live with it but will be interesting to kn...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Max HP on my setup

If only it was so easy to say an actual figure. It all depends on the health of your engine, your tuner IAT etc. I'd say you have all the right ingredients for your goal. Your setup it almost like mine barring you have cams. You didn't say your cooling setup. I've got the Gen II GTX 3076r, but i wen...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Gen3 3SGTE - best forged piston?

I'm with Wossner 8.0.1 cr done over 20k miles built 2014. No issues at all. OEM rods It's always the case for BEST reliability lower CR is better sure higher will work but head room is lower for there dreaded detonation. The plus is higher CR is better off boost response and i think absolute power....

I have a 350mm deep dish. Very nice steering wheel. It will take you a little while to get used to the indicator storks being a little further away.

you using a walbro on stock wiring? I'm hoping to get changed back to a regular return line this weekend. I should be able to see consistency through AFR gauge. That seems to swing about all over the place just now as per the erratic pressure. Yes i'm using with stock wiring. Wanted to keep the car...

Re: My 400whp saga, 373whp after mapping.

Actually had a message from another member suggesting this. A very very common issue at this power level so I'll get the pump wiring sorted too. The whine drives me absolutely mental haha! It is non stop from the moment you turn on the ignition:( what power are you making and what injectors/rail? I...

Re: My 400whp saga, 373whp after mapping.

Well done Ryan :thumleft: The walbro whine is not an issue, mine is like that after prolonged spirited driving. It calms down after some normally driving. Took me a while to get used to. Had mine in my car for 5 years now. In my setup, when going for big power, my tuner said the fuel pump power was ...

Not as fancy as what you're proposing, but i've had a remote boot release built into my Toad alarm for over 10 years, works a treat through a solenoid.

Interested in seeing how yours turns out

Re: The Grey Phoenix..Summer update

How are you getting such high numbers and low boost compared to mine?

Congraz btw :oldtongue:

I'm on a 2 litres with a gen 2 3076r and i get 430 at 1.9bar with wmi
6.3ar.

I see no downside to your setup, it even spools pretty well.

Spill

I hope to get it back this weekend
