Re: Handling - twitchy above 60mph

Hi all, My Mk2 is feeling twitchy and not very confidence inspiring at speeds above 60mph. It's been off the road for a number of years due to doing the 2GRFE swap. I've got Meister-R GT1 Coilovers, set 10 clicks back from hard. Has TRD ARB's, strut braces, ploybushed etc. Running Enkei RP01's, 16&...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best bodykit for increasing downforce?

Feeling light at the front is generally due to stuff like worn bearings or play in the steering rack, poor geometry, bad tyre pressures. You know, stuff you should fix. Bunging on a different body kit without addressing the underlying problem you have isn't going to help. Felt light at front end on...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] LSD'S

it's not my diff, on someone else's car. proper staggered setup, stepped up the same amount front and rear, with matching tyres. the diff adds understeer compared to the stock lsd. compared to my daily mk2 it's noticeable. it grips really well and puts the power down very well. using ohlins adjusta...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fuel pump replacement - Walbro OEM/Toyota/Walbro 255LPH

some people are happy to settle for a less refined product. you can hear it in traffic and that just removes some of the comfort and dailyness of the '2 When has the mr2 been known for its dailyness and comfort? Lol Its a 20+yr old car - its never gonna be like a rolls royce. If you can hear the pu...

It's been in mine 12 months - feeding a 2gr which has done a couple of track days - no issues so far.

Re: Gearing

I had a 3.933 FD fitted to an e153, it produces a 9% taller box across all gears. You can also (though it's rarer) fit a 3.6 Final Drive for an 18% taller box. Neither are common, or cheap if you're buying new and if you're not a gearbox person you'll need to find someone to transplant them. Unless ...

Also it looks like I completely destroyed my brake discs, just hope the pads are still ok as they were brand new carbotecs Not sure if other people find this, but when you use carbotechs you go through disk and pads at about the same rate.
