Re: Anyone able to take on my mr2 project? North West area (ol13)

Flip side to these arguments is that good mr2's are getting thin on the ground, and it would be a shame to condemn another one to being broken for parts? Suspension is most likely droplinks, the source of the knocking would come up as an advisory or fail item in a proper MOT, or you could have a pok...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best bodykit for increasing downforce?

Its good to see someone still being so enthusiastic about enhancing their mr2:thumleft: Border bonnet, bomex front bumper, and the vented front wings (carbenfibrecreations?) would be my recommendations, as well as smooth ally undertray and I've seen on eBay some carbon rear diffusers. But having sai...

At £200 I'm seriously interested, scratch that, I'm buying it :-) What price for the "nice manifold" you mention in the advert's original post? If I send funds just now, can I collect it in January?

Re: Variable Geometry Turbo as a kit?

Hi Gazza, Thanks for getting back to me... While personally I've gone off turbos since i've started playing with larger displacement engines, but was curious was such a kit available as it would be a tempting route to go rev turbo & VGTurbo. Had a look around and as far as I can see the variable...

Variable Geometry Turbo as a kit?

Just wondering if anyone had made a Variable Geometry turbo kit for the MR2?

Re: Power steering fluid alternative from halfords

I've used Slick 50 powersteering fluid in my mr2's before, works well, really nice velvety feeling to the steering, and you can get that from halfords :-)

Interested in the front as I already have the TRD rear ARB on my MR2 so PM me if the other guy takes the rear and these are getting split.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Help me remove this aftermarket wheel/boss AAARRGGHH!!

I think looking at it that the splines arent a match, so at 6'0clock in the picture the splines are engaged properly, by 3/9 oclock they peaks of the steering column are digging into the peaks (rather than the troughs) of the boss. So please be ware that the splines on your steering column may be be...

Re: Are uk 3sge's actually inherently gutless? And what about BEAMS cars?

Thanks for the feedback, I'm pleased to hear the NA mr2 is in the sort of performance window I was expecting it to be, and this I won't be too disappointed when I find a nice example. I've sort of came to the conclusion that the beams sonic shadow T-Bar I want to buy is so rare I'm unlikely to find ...

Re: 99 BEAMS REV 5

I'm beginning to think that my best bet would be to find a nice rev 4/5 sonic shadow car as a first step, engine is irrelevant. Then later transplant an altezza black top beams engine into it with standalone engine management, then that is the framework in place to allow tinkering in the form of eit...

Are uk 3sge's actually inherently gutless? And what about BEAMS cars?

I recently went to view a rev5 uk car, which was a relatively rough example that photographed well in its gumtree advert. Apart from a list of things I found needing sorted on it, one of my overall memories of the car was just how gutless it was. What I was expecting was for the MR2's acceleration t...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] 264 degree cams in a 3SGE - any other supporting mods required

In addition to the above mods, I'd say if your going to have the cams out I'd recommend port matching the heads to the manifoldsand do the obvious breathing mods exhaust and induction kit etc. With underdrive pulleys and lightened flywheel it would be a really zippy lively rev happy engine, feeling ...
