Re: Wheel Setup

I have 18's but you have to have a stupidly low profile tyre on front. When I buy new wheels though I will go down to 17's so I can get a wider tyre on the rear. 16's deffo best for handling though.

Re: help and advice on this mr2 (potentially purchasing on Sun)

Well he says the Speedo dont work, now if that don't work every time you boost it it will go into limp mode as ECU wont get speed signal for more than 3secs. Can be a cheap fix if its just the sender that gone but if its the nylon cog inside the gearbox like mine is its a pretty expensive fix :evil...

Very odd that the winning bidder didn't buy it at £2050 though.

Re: Not Boosting over 7psi

Wastegate may have weakened due to age or actuator stuck in the open position maybe??? I had a similar issue.

You could get a new wastegate but a MBC will sort this out.

Re: Booooooost

Stock is about 0.7 bar a rounds 10psi on a rev1/2, not 100% if that goes for Rev 3 too.

I have Rev 1 with Rev 3 upgrades plus berk intercooler and I run 1bar so about 15 psi.

I have had it turned up to around 17psi though and it was fine,

Re: Standard exhaust and Downpipe vs Aftermarket parts

Whats the top exhaust on your pic of the three together Red? I have one of these sitting in the garage, and had same prob you were saying about the japspeed. Tried to fit it a while back and gave up as to me it seemed to not clear the subframe and also near the flexi seemed far to close to oil sump...

No Turbo...and why is that classic comment from an N/A owner????

Fella you asked you the top 10 mods to a standard MR2

Correct me if I am wrong but wheels would be number 1. Actually, don't correct me cos I know I am right.

There are varying grades of stainless steel and the cheaper grades will rust but they can still call it stainless steel.

I would have thought wheels was the number 1 mod.

Are there many cars still running standard wheels?
