Re: Annoying knocking at low speeds

Not sure if this is relevant but I have the same issue with my BMW X5.

Annoying knocking at lowish speeds on smoothish roads.

I thought the obvious stuff like suspension ect, but it turned out to be something to do with the steering column

£800 thank you very much...

Re: **UPDATED** 1991 Rev 1 (Beastly V6 1MZ-FE VVTI) **UPDATED**

His work was perfect!! He went over the car with a fine tooth comb and took out all of the little dents in the car. I would happily recommend him to anyone and would have paid double the price for his work :thumleft: Does he travel to Birmingham Karl? I cannot seem to get the one I called "Kev...

Re: Some Chroming

Your car's pretty clean, I couldn't think of much else :D Maybe the spreader plates on top of the rear suspension turrets and the heatshields? Edit: It's not specifically getting stuff chromed, but the door catches on Lexus vehicles are chromed and they bolt straight on. More shiny. As per http://w...

How much did the caroming cost?

Hi mate.

It was £90 for the 3 parts. That front brace came off a rev 1 turbo car. The car I used as my donor.

Got the turbo lid to put on yet, and I did consider getting the rain tray chromed. Probably cost quite a bit though.

Trying to work out whether it would look too much.

Re: **UPDATED** 1991 Rev 1 (Beastly V6 1MZ-FE VVTI) **UPDATED**

Yes I need to get my invoices from Peter to send off to insurance company!! My car so far has cost me about £11k, but I think I will be lucky to squeeze £6k as an agreed value. I contacted another dent removal guy and he quotes around £45 per panel. Each door for example has maybe 3 or 3 slight dent...

Good to see you have the car back Karl. I saw it in the flesh when I went up and have to say that the engine does look amazing. Peter scared the hell out of me too when he took me for my test drive!!!! I don't think I have been hat fast in it myself! Ha ha!! Will enjoy being able to see what further...

Re: double or triple a pillar pods and where to get them?

I had a 3 pod pillar of Eddy.

Quality is amazing and looks like Toyota themselves could have made it!!

I had Oil Temp, Oil Press and Boot in mine.

Bought some SAGA gauges of the dreaded EBAY. Think they were £220 for the 3. Probably not the best quality in the world but they do the job.

That is well dodgy!! Amazed they are talking about not wanting to charge you VAT on an email.

If they said they bung 3% CC fees on if you paid by card then fair enough.

Didn't realise S2000's had 240bhp.

I always fancied one. If I had room on the drive I'd probably consider getting one.

Re: Rev 5 N/A engine into Rev 2 N/A help

I sold a Rev 5 engine to someone with a REV 3 (or lower) and Peter helped them put it in. I know there was some stuff about the ECU and immobilizer, and if you used the REV 5 ECU you'd have to have the Coil and key part (with chip in it). I think the guy I sold it to used a REV 3 ECU though and it a...

Already looking much better.

So you are swapping the engine out your old red one?

The yellow one is a turbo though isn't it??? Had you modified your engine in the red car a lot then?

Re: Anyone got a UK REV 5 NA car who can help me with alarm query??

Mine did the three beeps when water got into the siren, so maybe the beeps are just a generic warning that something is wrong. Really? That's a new one on me. Was that when you shut the door or did it always do it?? I was cleaning it the other day and accidentally pressed one of the keyfob buttons ...
