Greenlight have been good for me although they won't give me the agreed value I would like, more the value of what a similar car would cost.
We all know that you would never really find a similar car to the one you own...!! I may look to change myself to get a better agreed value.

Re: Standard Rev 1 Turbo Quicker than a Rev 3....or just my imagination??
excuse to get it on the dyno. ct26 is more punchy. but i doubt you were making more top end power back then than you are now. maybe more torque back then. Yeah I am pretty sure it probably wasn't faster. Was a bit of a fun post really to see if anyone else felt the same about a car they had in thei...

Re: Black '92 Rev2 Turbo Forged Build
Great thread mate. I'm looking at a similar route to you actually. Rev 2 turbo engine but I have Rev 3 upgrades. Looking to go forged at some point though, but it's a respray for me first. Looking at the same front end that you got, and very similar skirts. Also looking at a colour change like you d...

Yeah I had a non working speedo and it was the gear in the gearbox. Gearbox out job unfortunately.

Re: Turbo Engine lid VS NA Engine lid weight
Trying to save a few kg here are there on a car reminds me a some cyclists I know who proudly tell me they have saved 100g by spending xxxx loads of money on lighter parts, then they stick an KG of water on the bike...!!
The turbo lid looks better IMO so worth the extra weight.

Yes I was aware that the ct20 stayed longer than the ct26. Maybe a possible reason for my thinking. Maybe I am not going insane after all.

Standard Rev 1 Turbo Quicker than a Rev 3....or just my imagination??
Back in 1996 I had a Standard 1991 Rev 1 turbo car. I remember it being seriously quick, really threw you back in your seat and made your head snap back. It used to scare my missus at the time when I put my foot down in 2nd. 15 years later I had a turbo conversion done on my NA car. Rev 1 engine wit...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Can the AEM TRU BOOST gauge be fitted to MR2 Turbo?
Was unsure if that reading was telling you what boost you have it set to, or whether that was actually "live" boost so to speak. They are calling it an all-in-one gauge so you have to assume that it's boost gauge and controller. I contacted the seller and even they are unsure until they co...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Can the AEM TRU BOOST gauge be fitted to MR2 Turbo?
As per this listing:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120897895380? ... EBIDX%3AIT
Also, anyone know if this is just a boost controller, or is it actually a boost gauge too?? Or would you need a separate boost gauge with this?
Thanks

Re: Is it possible to use heater rear windscreen as FM/AM aerial
Might try getting a stick style one and stuffing it in the wing or something. Well that won't work! A metal car body acts as a faraday cage. That's why aerials are always one the outside of a car or embedded in the glass. Stick it within the metal shell or, worse, in the thin gap between the wing a...

Re: Is it possible to use heater rear windscreen as FM/AM aerial
Hmmmm, I thought that my BMW X5 had aerial in heated rear windscreen as there is no obviously signs of an aerial and that works really well. Yeah I had my aerial hole blocked up and had rear quarter resprayed ect. The aerial I had fitted is a windscreen mounted one and is useless. I cannot pick up a...
