theyre such good little cars theyre worth the time and effort ,just a bloody shame they didnt paint them better at the factory ,mines totally original and under the carpet theres just primer and its really thin ,you can rub it off with your finger nail lol I can imagine the inside panels of the car ...

mine leaks both sides I reckon its because my door hinges have dropped a little and also the doors move up and down while driving over bumps
before I tackle the roof I want to fix the door hinges ,its allways garaged so not a big problem unless I get caught in the rain

right after seeking advice and being assured my mk1b dec 1986 tbar has 18mm front anti roll bars I bought some arb bushes (18mm) tried to fit them today and although the antiroll bar diameter looks fine the arb bushs were about 5mm taller than the old bushs and they just dont look like they fit the ...

my springs look absolutly shot

but I dont want lowering springs and tried kyb springs and the car
looked as high as a rangerover

I could live with -15mm but not minus 30/35mm as most spring kits are

door hinges/pins

my doors have a little drop in them both sides and let water in the tbar roof

it seems the door pins/bushs on the hinges are worn and have a little play
anybody know a good permanent fix for this rather than the washer behind the hinge bodge

it seems the person that was supposed to do a full 4 wheel alightment didnt ,and actually just did the tracking ,I took it to dave sheldons in manchester and he messed around with it ,he said the tracking was spot on but the camber was all over the show with minus camber at the front its now done an...

it corners well but if you put too much angle on the steering it seems to cause issues feels like the wheel wants to tuck in or under weird

the cars great and this is its only real issue

I checked out the part numbers on the kyb website they were correct I got them from camskill(i think) but I'm not sure which way to go are the original shocks and springs availible from toyota ? I know new front shocks are available at TCB or do I go for a full package of somesort ,it needs sorting ...

it feels light at the front and on the motorway it seems to get very light with worryingly light steering

yup kyb shocks all around ,the springs looked ok but I'm begining to wonder the removal and installation procedure was too much for 27year old springs

yes Ive had alightnment done but the rear squats down and the front is raised up its not an alightment issue its either the kyb shocks or the old springs

springs

Ive still got my original springs but since I replaced the shocks the suspension is all over the show ,it seems stuck up at the front ,I tried apex springs but they were both too low and too soft ,I scraped every speed hump where I live

any recomendations ?

but I measured it and its not 18mm but 17.5mm ???
