Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Why would someone block these vacuum pipes off? (pic included)

That only makes sense if you have an external wastegate fitted. Otherwise the car will massively overboost and hit fuel-cut all the time #-o Ahh It has a ECU at the back with 'Fields' on it, this looks like a piggy back board in the main ECU casing, digging on it only finds Japanese stuff. So this ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Why would someone block these vacuum pipes off? (pic included)

excuse more poor editing :D So the actuator for the wastegate on the turbo (i believe thats what its for) has no pipes connected, instead they are both blanked off... As shown in the pic you can see no pipes connected and ive marked pipe A and pipe B which both have been blanked off....Why w...

[Mk2] [Generic] aircon bolts and brackeet tensioner same on 3s-GTE and GE

What it says on the tin,

Are the mounting bolts (not position just the bolts themselves) for the aircon and also the bracket and tensioner itself the same on the NA & Turbo?

**edit ** this is for a rev2 and any difference anyone is aware of based on rev as well

Re: MR2 SW20 RHD Power Steering Quick Steer Pinion.

Im afraid to say this is a hard lesson in the word of low production development. It always takes a very very long time.

To be fair design and production on mass produced parts isn't always quick.

good luck all and im sure it will be worth the wait

Re: Advice - Nuts and bolts sizes

I've ended up getting all the current bolts and nuts, tumbled / acid dibbed then plated to solve this issue for myself.

I wanted a definitive list for new bolts for the kit car to finish it off, but was unable to find anything.

Doesn't really seem worth it given they're hidden, and purely structural really. They look nice though!

I'm building a kit car so cleaning everything and protecting once...I hope!

Its important to give the right impression at the IVA test that the job has been done properly.

Well mine are back together now after sand blasting, new bearings, powder coated. So should blend nicely!

Re: blanking plates for ABS holes in hubs?

I sealed up a couple of ABS holes over the weekend in preparation to putting the hubs on my car. I rummaged through my pot of random spare bits and found some interior clips like the one pictures below but larger at about 1" in diameter. So I stuck them in the hole with some epoxy resin... job...

blanking plates for ABS holes in hubs?

What it says on the tin. I don't need the ABS so have removed the sensors but rather then go have some small plates fabricated I wondered did such a thing exist to buy or has anyone done any themselves already.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Brake light turns indicator on

Ive had this before on other cars and it was poor earthing in the light wiring.

Not an MR2 based answer but it would be an area to look in.

You only asked for the RH seal.

Different part number for each seal.

LH seal is 90311-50010.

You need to unbolt the main link. It's in the passenger side kickwell, and the two halves join via 2x10mm nuts. It's hidden inside a small piece of trim. I believe the loom from the frunk runs into the car at the kickwell, and then behind the dash. Youll probably have to take the dash out, to get t...
