Re: [All] [Generic] Drilled & Grooved discs i'm confused!

Normal is fitted with grooves starting at the center of the disc and heading to the outside going from right to left.
Not the easiest thing to describe!

It will be fine either way you fit them. If you fit them the other way you will get faster pad wear though.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] NOT SO LOUD! Quiet please ...

On my old rev 3 tubby I had a Fujitsubo Ti. Was full titanium and single exit. VERY VERY light. Sounded quiet unless above 4500 rpm then it started to sing. After selling for a mere £240 I found out after lots of searching it would have been about £1000 new. Just taken a departure 2 off to make way ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] NOT SO LOUD! Quiet please ...

I have just taken delivery of a berk and am yet to fit. Looks to be a VERY well made exhaust.
How loud are they? Is there much difference without a cat compared to running with one?

Regarding the original post.
Fujitsubo are regarded as the quietest you can get. Do sound nice when on full chat.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Used Carwash Yesterday and Car is bu88ered

First off, why the feck did you put your car in a car wash.
You might aswell have washed it with a brillo pad!

Take off the plug leads and dry them and also the dizzy cap. Spary it all with WD40.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Whats the best Dump valve to go for?

Not sure if you can do it with a rev 1/2 but with my rev3 I have just disconnected the recirculate pipe to the airfilter and blocked up the air filter part so no dirty air can bypass the filter. That leaves the recirculate pipe open and you get a nice whoosh sound without spending any money. Sounds ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] What turbo's from other cars fit

Most pople on here buy complete turbo kits when upgrading.
I was wondering if there are any standard production cars out there that would have any good turbo's that would fit straight on to the mr2 engine.

Is it a case that there would be too much messing around and thus not be worth the saving.

Well done. Glad you got there in the end.

A list of mods would be helpful to us.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Had enough of the tubby thinking of selling

The summer is coming and your getting ready to sell, how dare you. Just hang in there and keep working away, you will enjoy it in the end.
After I sold mine as i was a bit bored I had a TVR then a 111s Elise and have recently come back to a Rev3 tubby.
All your hard work will pay off.

Can you give some indication of when the UK suppliers are likely to get delivery of your products. There are a fair few of us here waiting to place orders for exhausts. Can you give us some feedback please!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] RR graph

It is a Blitz duel sbs spec s ebc.
It was setup previous to me getting the car. I hardly ever turn the boost up. I will check it but seem to recal the setting to be 1.1 on the 4th stage. I will look tomorrow.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] RR graph

EBC is fitted.
I will have a look and see what it is running at.
I just need to get the Berk downpipe and exhaust fitted to replace the Departure then get it on the rollers. Just need gtschris to get some stock in.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] RR graph

I have a blitz ebc but they don't read in psi unless you can change the reading displayed. What is a good but not too expensive boost gauge?

It is a rev 3.
Interesting about the psi dropping off. How do you test the actuator?

[Mk2] [Turbo] RR graph

Hi

I found this when looking through the folder of bills, work done etc.
I was told by the owner that it was standard at this time. Is this likely with the results?
What do you think of the results?

Re: In-Car Cameras

blue2, the video is good on those but the mic is shocking! The reason for this is because the mic is covered in plastic so it's waterproof. Plus 99% of these do not have ports for secondary mics.

[Mk2] [Turbo] CC advice

Hi I am currently running an xspower intercooler and although it's ok I believe I will gain more bhp/torque and be safer if running a cc. If I change to a cc can I keep my air con? Is there a fitting guide anywhere? The picture below is what I am thinking of buying but am unsure if everything is the...
