Re: Front Wheel Bearing Recommendations?

GMB or even Koyo if you are really lucky.

Loocks like i was really lucky, ordered a pair of Blueprint Bearings and they're both KOYO which is the same as what came out of the hub.

The forum is still having the odd issues with the 'Premium' membership upgrades.
If your £7.50 has been taken and your profile is still only a regular member, please drop me a message and I can swiftly resolve.

Thanks

Re: Front Wheel Bearing Recommendations?

Which list you mean? If all the useful info after 9 years of ownership about aftermarket parts, that will take hours to compile which i might do in the future.

AhI see, I read it as something you already had, so dont worry :D

Re: Front Wheel Bearing Recommendations?

That's great info Julius, thank you. I'd be interested in a copy of that list if possible? I mean you could put it up on FB but then it just gets lost in the noise Such a shame that FB seems to have killed of most forums. IMO FB is nowhere near a decent replacement for forums, especially when it com...

Re: Front Wheel Bearing Recommendations?

Thanks mate that's exactly the kind of info I was after :thumleft:

I'd love nothing more that to splash out on 2 genuine bearings as I need to do both fronts, but looking on MR2-Bens website, at £185 a corner it's a little expensive!

Front Wheel Bearing Recommendations?

Hi All

Given the rather expensive nature of buying genuine Toyota front wheel bearings, please can anyone recommend any tried and tested good (and cheaper) alternatives? there seem to be quite a few I can find but i'm never sure of the quality.

Thanks in advance

Steve :)

Re: Black H Reg Rev 2 Weston Super Mare

An end of an era indeed, I probably hadn't seen the Vulcan for 25 years, I must admit I had a tear in my eye when she flew off. Had an interesting drive back myself, turns out the fluid for my clutch needs replacing as the pedal went straight down to the bulkhead when I pressed it at Exeter!!! must ...

Black H Reg Rev 2 Weston Super Mare

Hello to the chap who was leaving Weston in his beloved this evening, he was most patient when I jumped out and congratulated him on a fine choice of car. :D

If it was an earthing issue wouldn't you have the same problem no matter what battery you were using.

Get the new battery on charge whilst your tinkering and then see if it discharges, it cant hurt to check.

Re: Car won't start - ideas/help... ***UPDATE - STILL FUBARRED!!***

Hi Karl

Is there a spark?
Have you checked the earths?
Have you checked your fuses (i.e. EFI fuse and other relevant circuits)
You could check the fuel pump is working too by shorting out out FP and B+ in the diagnostic plug.

Hope you get it sorted

EDITED: due to accidentally talking out of my bottom! (apologies  ) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71307839/TurbochargerSystem.jpg I've never seen a Gizzmo boost controller before but my guess is that you leave the hose that goes from the compressor housing to the actuator alone and plumb...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Actuator Question / Help

Hi Craig I assume that as you are running a CT20b then your car is at least a Rev3. The two pipes are for the TVSV which bleeds off the pressure in the actuator to achieve a higher level of boost. If you blank 1 and run the other directly to the turbo you will only ever boost to 7psi. With the TVSV ...

Re: Car Covers

If it's purely for indoors it will be fine for protecting the car. I think that's the model I have for mine, which keeps it protected from the little one and the cats climbing all over it. If it was outdoors then the Monsoon would be the minimum I'd go for. The car is only ever going to be stored i...

Car Covers

Ok, now the new Rev3 is settled into the garage I have decided that it could do with a cover to protect it from kids squeezing past, dust etc. I have been having a look around and keep coming across a sahara cover for around £60 - does anyone have one of these, if so, would you recommend it. Any oth...
