Re: A whole host of symptoms

Thought about Lambda sensor? Although I admit, it doesn't sound much like it. Maybe for the sake of ease try disconnecting it and seeing how it runs... But if it makes a difference it might rule it out. Hopefully the TPS sorts it. I had a similarish problem on mine - I actually got fed up with it an...

Re: Drilled brake discs

I had drilled and grooved mtecs on my Mr 2, never had an issue with them. They're OE fitment on my Boxster S, and again, had no problems, nor have I heard of anyone having problems with them. Standard thoughts on them on here seem to be that it's better to buy standard discs and fancy pads like Carb...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] I think Mr T has given me the wrong Oil

It's a 3S NA. It was designed in the eighties to run part-synth. Why not run part-synth?

I get the point of buying ester synth if you have a turbo or something like that, but I never used to bother on my old NA, save yer spondoons.

Re: Is the Mk3 underpowered?

Whilst I cant attest to driving one, there was a 2ZZ Mk3 that went on here for about £3k. Buy a completed conversion and profit. It'll be more reliable than a mk2 as well. It's definitely where I'd have gone had I elected to stay with the marque.

Yeah, nightbreakers are good. But they are no HIDs.

Either way, only a true wally fits HIDs into a non projector lens.

Put OSRAM nightbreakers in mine before I sold it, was a nice improvement.

Re: Heavy Steering

It's reasonably meaty as far as it goes when compared to newer cars.

Check your tyre pressures. They make a vast difference to the weight of the steering.

28PSI w/spare wheel fitted, and a little lower if you're running without it.

Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....

When you giggle at the fact every new passenger who gets in your car falls into the seat with the grace of an elephant. When you babble on about how AD08s are in fact, God's own personal tyre of choice. And that they're made by Zeus on the hips of virgins. That feeling that you're driving a proper c...

You could bolt the supercharger from the Evora S onto the 2GR though, I'd have thunk.

Would not bother with supercharging a 3v/1m V6 though.

Re: Anybody used Toyo Proxes T1-R 195/50/R15 on the front?

What can I say, I'm a tyre snob. I don't care what a car's worth, I just want the best rubber between the car and the road, especially on an MR2, a very tyre sensitive car. This. AD08 are the king of road tyres, designed to give good grip in all weathers, grip down to -10c and be able to stack up t...
