*shrugs* Meh, if you're happy with them that there's no reason not to stick with what you have. :thumleft:

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] removing power steering

I've actually just dropped the pressure in my front tyres. It's made the steering heavier and is a pretty simple and easy solution.

Ok. Well, I'm gonna submit an early contender for wally of the year award. Turns out I had my heater set to re-circulation rather than to draw in air. Now that I've actually engaged the brain and turned that off, it's drier than Dakar.

Win.

That's fine. My N/A survives 8-9k between oil services quite happily.

The ones that are standard on new Volvos are great. I don't know if they fit the 2 though... Don't see why not.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Engine Hesitation Under WOT at High Revs - Rubbish MPG During Normal Use

Well ladels & jellyspoons. It is fixed. After seven months of poke and hope diagnosis, the problem has finally been sorted. Only real reason I am writing here it so that should someone later on get a similar problem they can save themselves some time and money (and stupidity) that I've had to ex...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Mods

Do not buy xxxx tyres. You will wreck the car. This. I had crap tyres on mine when I bought it, and spent the first year of ownership trying to drive round them and find out what everyone was banging on about with these cars. If you're not hell bent on changing the looks of the car I find the stock...

Nic wrote:Do you know the service history of the car?

Before any mods i would start with a thorough check over and service; brakes, fluids, plugs, HT leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, suspension check, filters, O2 sensor, tyres, etc. I'd basically make sure everything is in good working order.

This.
