Been hearing very good things about the EFR range of turbos from Borg Warner so might be worth a look?

You will need forged Pistons before you go for big power if you haven't got them already.

Definitely looks all Rev3. Just noticed it is up in Scotland. 1300 mile round trip,, bu88er!

Sounds very dubious. I would ignore it.

I ignored this when it first popped up as it says Rev2 but the engine looks Rev3 as does everything else? Anyone know it?

Two's Company?

The best thing I did to my old 2 was to get rid of the electronic boost controller. They are a ticking time bomb waiting to damage your engine. Get rid and do it properly with an aftermarket ECU, mapped correctly.

I saw the vid on facebook, it looked very quick. Was shocked when you said it was totally stock power.

I would try it with the throttle fully open as that is the correct way to do it.

Are you doing the compression test with the throttle wide open?

Any 3S block can crack. The early ones is usually around the waterpump and the Rev3's like to crack between the cylinders (from memory the middle 2 with the water jacket). I think I would go ultra safe even with moderate power and go for a 5S block. :thumleft: Thanks for all the advice. Rich :thumle...

The amount of work/mods I had to do to equal/surpass what a rev3+ can do with just uped boost ... very expensive would not recommend mate. I see what you are saying but when I modify it I would be going for more power than you would be able to get from a Rev3. So I wouldn't have thought there was a...

What's everyone's thoughtS on Rev3 turbos being better than Rev2's? I know the 3+ have better heads, better turbos and ultimately are more tuneable than 1 and 2's. On the other hand I have also heard people say there is more of a kick from the Ct26 as the turbo has a narrower power band? There is a ...
