Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Frozen boost "600bhp" chargecooler kit. Any good?

I had plans for car radiators as well, but then I had a PM conversation with Slipping Clutch, he really knows his stuff about chargecoolers! Much the same with the AVT pre rad, you should feel the weight of the thing! twice the weight of a car radiator and waaay heavier than a GT4 Pre rad, I had bo...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Identifying brake master cylinder

Bit of a topic hijack, but can an ABS and non-ABS cylinder be exchanged? As the internals seem similar.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Difference Prop Valve ABS vs Non-ABS

Thanks for your reply! Can anyone else say if this is the case for MR2's as well? I've also read that a proportioning valve usually crosses the brake lines, so that you can't spin your car easily on heavy braking. On my ABS prop valve, there are 2 entrances and 2 exits, which makes me think that it ...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Difference Prop Valve ABS vs Non-ABS

Can anybody tell me the difference between the proportioning valve of an ABS vs a non-ABS mr2? I know that a non-abs valve splits the front brakes, whereas an ABS valve splits both brakes in the ABS unit. I need to know, because i've removed my abs pump, but kept the ABS prop valve as I don't think ...

[Mk2] [Generic] Replacement non-ABS MBC

Hi there,
since i'm racing my 2, i want to replace my 93+ ABS type brake cylinder with a non ABS one. Can anyone tell me which one is the best replacement? I think non abs cars were all delivered with the small brakes, where I have the big brakes, and I don't want to mess with the brake balance.

Re: Glenn's REV3 ST215, Dynoed @315 hp & 390 Nm!

Went to a Dynocentre Verhoeven in the Netherlands today. Whipped out a satisfying 315 hp at the flywheel and about 390 Nm of torque. All of this at about 1 bar of pressure and about 1.1 bar of peak boost (still got a little boost creep) For now, the car will be put back in hibernation mode as i've b...

Re: Glenn's REV3 ST215, Dynoed @315 hp & 390 Nm!

I don't have any codes at all.
The car idles at about 800 rpm after adjusting it already.
I think the sound you mean is the wastegate, which is very active on a gen4. That, and I have a 3 3/4" induction pipe. That makes everything sound much louder.

Re: Glenn's REV3 ST215, Dynoed @315 hp & 390 Nm!

I use line A as well as B. The line on the side is for boost only feeds, which I don't use. Don't need it actually. I haven't adjusted the spring as it is not advised by synapse itself. I do recognise some of the problems other people have though. It hisses constantly when I drive between vacuum and...

Re: Glenn's REV3 ST215, Dynoed @315 hp & 390 Nm!

Thanks!
-I did modify the in- and outlet of the heat exchanger to fit the gen4 setup. Just a trim and a good matching of the couplers did the job for me.

-I routed 22mm id hose underneath the car and am using the st205 pump and pre-rad.

[Mk2] [Turbo] Weight difference ps/non-ps

Does anyone know the weight difference of a powersteering rack versus a non-powersteering one? And will it be a big effort to change my ps to non-ps?

Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic

I think you're referring to the twin-scroll design of the turbo. Each port is fed by 2 of the 4 cylinders.
