Re: I'm trying to save this mr2!!
This is where I'm at now..... Found the cause of the sticky throttle and why it was possibly idling high before. The throttle stop/butt had come loose, so throttle wasn't returning to where it should be, possible loose throttle cable too I guess. Anyway got that sorted. At the moment, from cold, I ...

Re: Rev 3+ rear indicator lense
Is it the lens in the main lighting unit or the triangular corner piece that is broken? Toyota don't sell the main lenses separately (only the complete light assembly), but they do sell the triangular corner lenses separately. http://i63.tinypic.com/2jb3xp0.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/11w83ts.jpg

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] New exhaust manifold and downpipe
I've had the faces machined flat now so I just need to do some porting. The Rev 3 ports are actually wider than the tube itself but the least they could do is get them central, it doesn't help that although it's listed as for a Rev 3 the gasket shipped with it is of the earlier Gen with smaller por...

Re: Error code 52: Knock sensor open circuit
If the error has been stored, it will always be there until you reset the ecu. Whether or not you go over 3k rpm. If sensor is blown, the eml will stay on when over 3k rpm when there's some engine load. Should have said that was after resetting the ECU ie. reset ECU, rev the car above 3Krpm at a st...

Re: Error code 52: Knock sensor open circuit
Mine overboosted and blew the knock sensor. With the blown sensor it would bring up the error code if the car was revved above 3K rpm at a standstill. If you do need a replacement sensor speak to Trevor at http://www.tcbparts.co.uk/ they do replacement Denso sensors (who manufacture them for Toyota)...

Re: Wheels - R32 GTR/GTS-T?
I have GTS-T fronts and GTR rears, with 205/45R16 and 225/45R16 tyres fitted, the rears will fit okay, not sure about the GTR wheels on the front, although if you do a google search there are pics out there. Shouldn't be too difficult to find a set of GTS-T fronts and they really do make a perfect s...

Re: Porterfield Brake Pads
It's difficult to describe- it's not a harsh noise at all, almost like a soft rubbing noise...very smooth, but you know they are doing something Just out of interest, do you have the stock anti squeal shims fitted? I've always run without the shims as it gives you slightly better pedal feel but tha...

Re: mr2 turbo rev 4 yellow
Nice and the best MR2 wheels..... although I may be slightly biased
ps. Shame someone has used balancing weights on the rims of the wheels, mine use stick on weights on the barrel of the wheel which are less visible.

Can you not just rotate the clamps for the tail pipes so that the bolts are at the top and hidden behind the bumper?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Best Braking ?? , advice welcome.
are these available new, or are they just one of those things that come up second hand ? , I've seen them before either way. do they help that much ? Cusco made the original ones but there are loads of copies out there, they normally only fit non-ABS MR2's. If you get someone to press the brake ped...

I'd also fit a brake mater cylinder stopper, they really help to firm up the pedal feel.

Thanks for the help, I've sourced a 7.5" Spal fan, just need to decide now whether to use a shroud or not.
If anyone has a shroud for sale let me know.

GReddy IC Fan
Need a new fan to fit my GReddy intercooler, any recommendations on fan make, size and places to buy? Also should I fit a fan shroud or not?
Will an aftermarket fan connect up and operate the same as the stock fan without bringing up the error warning light?
