Re: Smoke from ECU
A component looks to have burnt out, it comes out of the loom right before the ECU and is a red and silver dotted wire. I can add images yet as not made enough posts. Does anyone know what this could be? It'd help to know what MR2 model it is. Do you mean there is something spliced into the wiring ...

Does it have a Jasma number on it? That would confirm who the manufacturer is.

Re: Raising the car to get over some larger speed bumps
The OP doesn't say what suspension is currently fitted.
Can you post some pics showing the ride height of the car? If it already has lowering springs fitted, swapping to stock springs would be a cheap way of raising the car.

Re: welding question
Have you checked the condition of your inner sills and to see if the #FoamofDeath is still present? Your outers look to be rotting from the inside, out and yeah, those inner quarters need looking at. Cut the rot out and see where it stops, then get some clean lower quarters from a donor car would b...

This is mine when I bought it, the rear wheels were 18"x9" +35 With 255/35R18 tyres, the arches were rolled, no rubbing but clearance was tight.

Re: [FINALIZED] Garret GT3582R turbo plus various bits for 3SGTE fitting
What brand is the kit (manifold, down pipe and braided lines)? Do you know the revision of the car the kit came off and ex owner, any old pics of it fitted? Does it include the water lines? Is the wastegate recirculated or vent to atmosphere (screamer pipe)? What manifold flange/turbo housing does i...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Which brake hoses to fit ?
I've had a set of HEL brake hoses fitted to my 2 and binned them when one of them became loose at the caliper end. I currently have a set of Goodridge fitted and the same thing has happened again, this time on a different caliper. Fortunately, the brake fluid on both occasions was on the garage flo...

Have you read the "Oxygen Sensor Inspection" flow chart in the workshop manual? It goes through the testing procedure step by step.

It looks from the EPC that the AC Condenser part number is the same on all Japanese models but on later UK revisions the part number changed.

Re: I'm trying to save this mr2!!
I was sort of on the understanding that leaving it running for 10 or so minutes was enough? The engine will get up to temperature but isn't under any load or boost just running whilst stationary. The ECU once reset will run default settings, it needs a run out to relearn certain parameters. I'm not...
