Re: Cup oil filter wrench size?
I use a chain wrench Works a treat :thumleft: Can change filter from above or below Years of experience I suppose..? This is the tightest most awkward fecker of a filter I've seen. To quote on of the lads on mr2.ie:- At first I was convinced Toyota must have used the MR2 production line as a punish...

Re: Just got a SC! Few questions... :-)
Oil filter is the same as pretty much every other Toyota. They all use a generic one. Easily and cheaply available from Toyota. There is a short one nad a longer one, you could go for the longer one but either will suffice. Spark plugs need to be colder than standard due to the SC. Is it on a stock...

Re: Just got a SC! Few questions... :-)
NOT Factory, looks like a car done by a member on here or perhaps the mk1 club, two or three years ago, if is the same car, you are very lucky, if I remember right it was very well done and the work carried out was done to a good standard. More pics would help. Chris Car came here to Ireland from J...

Just got a SC! Few questions... :-)
Hi guys I just picked up an 87 SC. It's a Tintop with windy windows, no side skirts and came with no spoiler apparently( one fitted now) all from the factory apparently. Extremely happy with her so far but have a few noob questions. If anyone has more information on this factory model I'd love to he...

Re: Track pads - OEM/EBC/BD/Ferodo/Mintex/Carbotech etc
I had some project mu's all round, found them excellent on track. Replaced the rears with EBC Yellowstuff recently and they seem to wear a bit less than the mu's on track...still no fade.

Re: Car won't start - where to start...?
I've found the source of the problem and got the car back running!
I followed the alarm wires to the ignition and found a dodgy connection, I have a temp fix for now but will get it looked at again.
Cheers for the help lads.
Toxo you were on the button with the alarm and ignition barrel!

Re: Car won't start - where to start...?
The gunk in the diags port is normal to stop it corroding. You should have an engine light on the dash though. Go in the boot and pull the carpet off the front firewall and check all the ecu connections are in place. There are quite a few connectors in the passenger side front corner of the boot, c...

Re: Car won't start - where to start...?

Nardi steering wheel info?
I bought an mr2 few weeks ago and the owner threw in a Nardi steering wheel as well as the cheap ebay one that was on it. Anyone know what model it is? It seems to be 370mm. I stuck it on for a while and love the look of it but its just too big, gonna pick up something smaller hopefully. What size d...
