Re: and metalic rattling is ......
99% will be the long drive shaft support bearing loose. try tigtning the inch bolt best way to check is to have it in the air get a mate to rev it so u can hear it, as it is making the noise, grab hold of the drive shaft and "hang off it" that should stop the noise, if it does theres ya p...

Re: and metalic rattling is ......
reving out of gear, ok yes - the car is stationary, and if you snap open the throttle to about 2.5K, the noise is most noticeable then.
When moving along its only noticeable off load, and slow speed - say <25mph .
Do you have/had a similiar problem ?

Re: and metalic rattling is ......
yes, it could well be the clutch release bearing - but think for the mo will persevere with the driveshaft bearing , since the fact the jack underneath stopped the noise tends to point to this bearing. Just wondering really anyone who has replaced / or adjusted this driveshaft bearing what their exp...

and metalic rattling is ......
rev3 turbo, really nasty metallic rattle when reving the car out of gear and also present when driving along in gear - most noticeable off load. Checked almost everything for loosness ! Took all heatshields off, refitted. Removed all drivebelts not this. Garage diagnosed valve clearance's so they we...

Hi - thanks for all replies, it seems this topic has been mentioned before in Anna's link, but useful link for bublewrap and it seems parcel2go looks like it could be the best bet.
Cheers

posting car parts
Dont know if this has been discessed before, but i've recently been looking at postage costs on some body panels i'm selling. I thought well none of these parts are particulary heavy, eg: wings / bumpers etc . - so had a look at parcelforce costs as a starter. It looked like upto 10kg on a 48hr serv...

Re: [Mk2 Turbo] help with Blitz duel sbc
Ok, off the top of my head , GAIN is set to 10. Then the boost percentage is set to 52,54,56,58 ( 56 is approx 16psi on my modded rev3)
Limit set to 1.10 ( 1.12 ?? ) with a -4 reduction. and scramble is set off.

in addition, another way is just to use the standard jack on the sills just enough to get your trolley jack underneath then up you go !

Re: blitz stopped working, test mode ?
well ............... had a look for a reset, but doesnt seem to be one. 4 wires, two to the solenoid and two power ( switched by the ignition ) So all settings must be stored in eprom. So next stage, wired up an LED to the solenoid to check it was being driven. The result - yes it was ! AND ..... bo...

Re: Start button, anybody fitted one?
yes RC - that is indeed a nice dash ! good job. =D> About the starter buttons, am i missing something - but if you are driving along and your passenger says what this ...... PRESS ! If you added one more relay that effectively isolated the engine start button - once running, this would be then a foo...

Re: Question about Fitting Mongoose Exhaust to a Turbo
Hi folks 1) Does it use a standard gasket for joining the cat to to the front pipe? (definitely dont want to use paste) 2) Does it hang in the standard place or do you need extra bolts, hangars etc as the one I've got my eye on just appears to be the exhaust itself? Ok, as a 'blueflamer' ! from wha...

Re: blueflame, should it be so rigid ?
hia, not really sure where it was fitted, since it was the chap before me that had it done. But i might well call and ask Nige for his advice, maybe he's had this before, and its a well placed tack weld will sort the exhaust rattle ! Its running good (except for a rattle {which may not be the exhaus...
