You might find eat easier to practice drifting in large circles first, and then once you have that sorted then try making the circles smaller until your 'doughnutting' Try it in second gear with a rolling start then dump the clutch with a bit of revs, when you feel the back kick out literaly let go ...

I had a similar problem with mine a couple of years ago.

Took it to the garage and it turned out to be a rubbish drain plug or something? I think they said that it was located right in the middle of the car, roughly in-between where the seats are, but under the car obviously!
