My engine seems to take quite a while to heat up and when the temp guage gets to half way it drops down again and slowly starts to rise.

Is this a broken thermostat or possibly a sensor?

There are 2 VERY different cars and both very good for different reasons. As mentioned above the Evo does handle very well so you won't get that same feeling that you do in the 2 as the Evo just soaks up the corners so well. I have an Evo 6 and an MR2 and the reason is that I can't get rid of either...

I've been running 235's on 7.5's for the last couple of years with no problems.

I done this with mine and I just put a big bit of foam in the back and some double sided tape on the back of the EVC.
