[Mk2] [Generic] Engine temp problem

My engine seems to take quite a while to heat up and when the temp guage gets to half way it drops down again and slowly starts to rise.

Is this a broken thermostat or possibly a sensor?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Spluttering in the morning then clears up? Any ideas?

Sorry to hijack this thread but I have a similar problem on my Rev 3 tubby. Last night I went to change the leads and I could not get the 3rd lead (the one that is the most difficult to get to!) off the spark plug? Do the leads ever corrode onto the spark plug as this lead would not budge no matter ...

Looking good, the black and the yellow go really well :thumleft:

Keep the lights, I think they look good but I know there are a lot of people on here that don't like them - Not sure why as I don't think they are too chav if you get the black ones like on yours - Each to their own I guess!

Re: Looking for a change of car....evo 6

There are 2 VERY different cars and both very good for different reasons. As mentioned above the Evo does handle very well so you won't get that same feeling that you do in the 2 as the Evo just soaks up the corners so well. I have an Evo 6 and an MR2 and the reason is that I can't get rid of either...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] New alloy advice

Check out this link and you can see that they are selling 235 tyres with 7.5 rims as a package. (i know there not for an MR2)

#-o Just noticed he is looking at fitting them on 7's not 7.5's #-o

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What turbo do you run?

I'm no expert on turbos but I have a GT2860rs on mine (along with a load of other bits) and it is great for a street car, the turbo spins up so quick compared to the standard turbo. I have only had it only the rolling road on low boost (1.25 Bar) and got 298bhp at surrey rolling road, on high boost ...
