Have worked out the crankshaft bearings that are needed by the numbers that are marked on the block and crankshaft
Is it the same for the conrods ie numbers on block plus number on the conrod caps.

The numbers stamped in to the under side of the block are 2232 Would like to rebuild the bottom end keeping ...

Rear tie bars
Have found that the ball joint and bar off a bmw 5 series 1985 is ideal replacement for the rear. The ball joint has a left handed 14 mm male 1.5 thread pitch and the tube has left and right handed thread.

Rear tie bar
That's a good find. Have you any luck finding the m14 turnbuckle which connects the two rods together. Have found the threaded bar with left and right handed threads but the pitch is 2mm not 1.5mm.

Koni
Have measured the inserts and they are 6mm to long for the casing. Have checked the part numbers for the inserts and are correct. The casings are toyota ones not after market replacements. Have now filed the bottoms of the shocks by 6mm. There was a sort of nipple on the bottom so have removed a bit...

Re: Alignment / Lowered Suspension Question
I have just replaced my rears with standard springs and Koni shocks and polybushed. Noticed the difference striaght away in handling.
Just need to save up some money to do the front end and it will be like driving as it was meant to 25 years ago.
