Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] How easy is it to swap speakers for after market ones
Ok thanks mate. I'll have a look then.
For now I just want to quickly fit the 6x9s behind the seats. could I use the existing wiring going to the back speakers or splice off them? Just need to know exactly where the rear speakers and cables are now?

[Mk2] [Turbo] Which tire sizes do you recommend?
I had a blow out the other day, which I barely survived! But anyway, since I need to replace the rear tire thought i'll double check which size you guys recommend? At the moment I have 205/40/17 on the front and 215/45/17 on the back. My old 2 at different sizes to that. Their arrowspeed, they a goo...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Car reving between 2 and 3k on idle!
For some unknown reason my 2 has just started reving between 2k and 3k on idle, sometimes it goes back to the normal aorund 1k but then starts going up again! Any ideas? I thought it may be the throttle cable sticking, I checked it and it appeared to be ok but didnt really know what I was looking fo...

[Mk2] [Turbo] How easy is it to swap speakers for after market ones
And whats the steps to do this? i.e. easy ways of getting the panels off, etc without snapping anything or adding new rattles after you put it all back together, especially considering there will be increased vibrations from the uprated speakers too! I have a pair of 6x9's I just want to quickly and...

For some reason it appears to be losing power and hesitating sometimes, seems familiar and I think its ignition related, you agree? So was gonna do plugs first, then probably leads since easiest to change, then rotar arms, dizzy cap, sound good? I cant remember what spark plugs are best for stock tu...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Possible power draining?
In the end it was a loose connection on the bat terminal! Finally managed to get to it after removing the strut bar so I could get the spare wheel out!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Possible power draining?
Dont think its alternator. Seems more like a bad earth or short thats draining power.
Theres a quicker way to reset ecu with a paperclip and the diagnostic port, just cant remember which pins it was. Think it was T1 and EC1 or something like that?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Possible power draining?
Went out to car earlier and it disarmed and unlocked fine and had power, then after a while for some reason it lost all power. Then it came back and then was gone again! And stayed gone. Just went out again and took out a battery pack to jump it, was fine, then turned ignition so dash lights come on...

[Mk2] [Turbo] Possible power draining?
This may be related to this problem: http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1297503#1297503 But now it seems either the battery is faulty or possibly the alternator since I noticed the other day the headlights started dimming a bit then were fine.
