Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Misfires/stumbles under boost with rebuilt engine

I had stuttering under boost.

Gutted the cat, replaced the plugs (only done 2k)

Stuttering gone.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] apexi power intake

Only ordered it a few days so it will take a while.

Duty should only be 20% of the £35 it costs. Shipping was about £15.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] apexi power intake

I've ordered a replacement filter from nengun. Cost around £50 imported from Japan. You would need to find which model you require though. The one on there site which is listed for the mr2 is for the rev1 and 2.

Re: Time for a new air filter?

Ordered from Nengun, £51 delivered, amazing how the kits are near 3 times the price, the only difference is the adapter.

Re: Time for a new air filter?

Looking at getting the Apexi filter replacement, much cheaper than the whole thing. 500-A022 from http://www.nengun.com/apexi/power-intake-replacement-filter-and-adapter or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/APEXi-POWER-INTAKE-FILTER-SKYLINE-WRX-EVO-SILVIA-RX7-MR2-VL-SUPRA-CIVIC-500-A022-/161167791612?pt=AU_...

Time for a new air filter?

Ive been trying to find out why my fuel consumption isn't great and it feels as though on a motorway i need to have my photo down than i should do, tested the O2 sensor and it fluctuates as it should but reading vf1 and e1 its coming up as 1.25v so its running rich. So far, tested the leads and the ...

Re: Radiator bleed valve o ring

Job done, old O Ring had a split, valve unscrewed much easier than my past MR2's, did as you suggested with the Vasoline. Cleaned it all up, warmed the car up, took for a drive, came back, put a kitchen towel under the valve, if anything leaks i will know about it.

Thanks again.

Re: Radiator bleed valve o ring

One last question, is it recommended to put some ptfe tape on the threads or is it not needed on these?

Managed to loosen the valve last night so can undo by hand once the o ring arrives.

Thanks

Radiator bleed valve o ring

The rad started dripping out of the bleed pipe on the radiator. I I imagine the valve needs the o ring replacing? Does anyone know the part number of the o ring?

Re: What presure level on cruise

Its a rev2 turbo, I know what they are like as I've had 2 turbos and a rev 2 na and mk1 na over 7/8 years. My last turbo I struggled to get under 30mpg. I'm not sure what the boost gauge vacuum relates to below 0, I did work out to convert to hg at one point. So 0.4 is bar is the reading below 0 at ...
