Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Pheonix Power Type 1 rear wing???
I've just fitted a spoiler like this: http://www.texas2s.com/Pictures/MR2MKIIBodyKits/images/bomexts0048mkii01.jpg It's stupidly big, but being an 80s child, I'm still excited by large spoilers and cars with 'turbo' badges on! Stability at high speed is very noticable since removing the standa...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Pioneer HU Fitting
Hmmm...a right pain in the backside, as the facia is the final link in a nice looking headunit setup! In my last MR2, I mashed up the dashboard trim surround to make the headunit fit in; not the best thing to do as it took ages getting the right size for the headunit, but eventually (with the help o...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] rev 1 turbo winter running
the car is not running like boost has been controlled its more like the engine is having trouble firing and is unresponsive for a couple of secondes if you try to accelerate even a small amount That's the engine temperature sensor that's failed on you. I had exactly the same problem with my ol' Rev...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Fitting ABS to a rev2 tubby
Some interesting comments on here about ABS on the MR2. I've had three Mk2s now, with my current one being the only one with ABS - I've never had a problem with it...at all. It doesn't cut in too early or anything even vaguely similarly, so all I can think of is that there must be an issue with some...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] IMOC web site MY FINDINGS!
What r u suggesting mate? A merger!? :-k :? 8) Nah - that's been suggested in the past (and rejected). I just think having lots of MR2 clubs seems daft when everyone can pool their resources on one 'superclub'; this would give the members more scope for info, buying power for the affiliates,...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] IMOC web site MY FINDINGS!
I think most of us here have saved a small fortune over the years through good advice gleaned from other members, not to mention meeting new people through meets and banter from the Off Topic forum. ...Which is why it still amazes me that the UK's MR2 community is divided by a daft number of differe...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Pheonix Power Type 1 rear wing???
Go for it. Nice to see people still trying different things to their '2, and if you think the rest of your body mods would good with it, then good stuff. I've just put a Bomex Type III spoiler (some bloody great thing as tall as the roof and makes Harry's spoiler look low!) on the back of my tubby a...

[All] [Generic] Getting rid of tinted windows
My mate's MR2 has tinted windows that are so dark and thus are amazingly dangerous at night. They were clearly not tinted by a professional, either, and one window has some of the tint scratched off it. Classy! He wants to get rid of the tints - any suggestions on what to use to take them off ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] petrol smell
Interesting, as I had exactly the same thing about a month ago.
I never tracked down what it was (despite an intense inspection of the car), and nothing was untoward when the '2 was up on the ramps at Rogue Motorsport having her clutch fitted the other week. Weird!

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Dashboard removal ... has anyone done it?
What's your reason for taking the dash out? Not sure if there's a particular order that the trim/panels should be taken out in, but I've had my dash bits out a few times without any difficulty. Sometimes you've got to remove 'A' to get to 'B', but you'll notice this easily enough by the overlapping ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Pop up head light question.
I guess there's a small amount of play in the lights to allow for vibrations, etc, at higher speeds.
To be honest, I haven't really noticed this on the low-rise lights, but my previous MR2s' lights would give a little bit.

I was for a bit, but they killed my account after a mate transferred shedloads of cash to me (in game) and then left. The admins took a dim view, and I just CBA to argue the toss with them. Second Life was good while it lasted (for me)!

I can guarantee it will be busy, as many people (like me) are having terrible Santa Pod Withdrawal symptoms and will be looking for the first excuse to get themselves over there.
