Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Phoenix Power

At an IMOC rolling road get together some time ago, I noticed that my transmission losses were a lot less than other people's. Perhaps down to the Phoenix Power gearbox in my tubby? If so, highly recommended! :thumleft:

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Dastek Unichip prices for Turbo + fitting?

Only mods were decat/exhaust/induction/Fidanza flywheel with Unichip and boost module fitted to '94 Rev3. Mapped to 1.2 bar. Was that with the standard Rev 3 injectors? For a quick test, I recently put the boost up to 1.2 bar on my rolling road session (also '94 Rev 3), and found the injectors were...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] an IMOC car is it feasble?

To be honest - and I'm probably on my own here - I'm not even vaguely interested in driving the car at all! I would rather leave that up to those better skilled or would get more enjoyment out of the drive. I'm happy to be a supportive bystander with a <whatever> role in the 'project' and glad that ...

Definately. What a shame it'll never happen, though.

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] an IMOC car is it feasble?

A Mk1.5 is a great idea, but wouldn't we have to put a 3SGE in instead of a 3SGTE for the MR2 Challenge regulations (if we could do that at all)? I like Patrick's suggestion of a club MR2 Challenge car, but would still like to expand this for TOTB, drag runs, as well as perhaps the IMOC track days. ...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] an IMOC car is it feasble?

Well, despite my usual cynical outlook on things, I think this is a great idea and I'd be happy to sponsor such a project. Modifications could be done democratically, and I'm sure we could get sponsorship from people like Rogue Motorsport or Fensport or whoever as long as the graphics were big enoug...

Ha ha! Great that the JAE 2007 thread has started so early!

Let's hope we get a good stand position this year, and hats off to the MR2OC for their stand last year. =D>

Black Rev 1 Mk2 by the Euston Tower on the Euston Road

Just spotted the above, turning right to go towards Baker Street.

Aftermarket wheels and stickers on the doors, etc. Shiny as hell! :D

Aaaaaaaaagh! Damn right! :) The amount of people who believe you don't need to touch your indicators at all if going straight on at a roundabout drives me mad.

It would help if people actually understood which lane to be in on a roadabout in the first place, too.

Don't you mean tinfoil rather than clingfilm?

Unless you wanted to keep it fresh...

Re: [All] [Generic] Road Tax petition

Woooooooooooooooah!

Surely there will be some way to circumvent any device like this? Either electronic or even something like wrapping the thing in clingfilm? How about removing it and then zapping it in the microwave?

Re: Overtaking on the left - illegal or not?

The test may have got harder in some respects but it still doesn't seem to be doing anything to address the lane discipline problem, particularly so on motorways. A few of my chums took motorway lessons after passing their test, but only one of them actively uses proper lane discipline these days. ...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] IMOC web site MY FINDINGS!

last time i organised a meet half of the IMOC peeps that put their name down dropped out last minute. It's a bummer when that happens - the last Milton Keynes meet was like that, but on the other hand it can go the other way. I organised a Leicester meet a few years ago and only expected about five...

Re: Overtaking on the left - illegal or not?

Some say undertaking is irresponsible and i should have my licence taken away... Well, I guess that was aimed at my comment earlier. I've noticed that many people are very sloppy on checking their mirrors (let alone a brief turn of the head at the side/rear) when changing lanes. If they're not expe...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] IMOC web site MY FINDINGS!

Although the trackdays and RR meets are good there are not many monthly regional meets or social gatherings. Agreed. One of the good things about the MR2DC is their Regional Meets, as they're a great way of getting to know your local MR2 enthusiasts. There's never many meets anyway at this time of ...

Re: Overtaking on the left - illegal or not?

Some good discussion here chaps! :thumleft: When driving on the road, I never cross my hands. It just doesn't seem natural, and I haven't done it in 16 years of driving (on the road). On the track, however, it's the only way to drive! :) The way our driving tests work at the moment is crazy, and my ...
