[Mk2] [Turbo] Using an SRT205 ECU - No Powersteering output
I'm running a rev3 conversion into a Rev 2 turbo. As far as I know the ECU I have is from an ST205 Am I right in thinking that the ST205 ECU will not have PSCT and PS pins? Therefore I will only be able to have PS running permanently, without a speed or idle cut, and won't get any PS idle up? If so,...

Re: Budget Forged MK2 Turbo Project
Engine finally built, in running and car on the road :) Not had any time to post any updates, but one day I'll post up all 3 years worth of photo's taken! http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm18/Danbob101/20161009_152717_zpsr96ops4r.jpg http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm18/Danbob101/20161009_1527...

Ok it does look like one of those, but both of mine are still there and looks like they are a little longer and one end looks to be m8 not m6 http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af298/Jeremy19771/SailpanelgroundLFT.jpg http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af298/Jeremy19771/SailpanelRT.jpg Is there an...

Ah that could make sense, should there be one to the actual removable panel?
The car already has one on each side from the trunk bulkhead to underneath the inspection panels. Does this one go to the panel itself?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Low compression on new build motor
If you are still running a stock rev2 ecu, do you have a fuel cut defender fitted?
What injectors are fitted?
I know this pain, I also bought a prebuilt 400hp forged engine which was apparently perfect, I hope that you have better luck than I did!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Low compression on new build motor
If it has not been run since the build then you should follow a break in procedure for your first drive don't let the car idle for too long. Go out and load up the engine through all gears without using full boost / or max rpm but driving fairly hard and getting the rings loaded up. In between pulls...

Yeah most of mine will end up swapped about, just wonder why previous owner went to the trouble of blocking one off and adding an aluminium one right next to it...

Do you mean the port that is blocked off on my manifold on the left of the blue barb normally goes to the bov?

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Can anybody name this mystery pipe?
Thanks a lot, think that's everything figured out then!
Yeah the GT4 photo I posted has quite a few pipes and vsv'sb that the mr2 doesn't so I'm happy to know the mr2 doesn't need them.
Cheers!

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Can anybody name this mystery pipe?
Looks like the engine in the photo is a rev2 so different I think
JimGTS thanks, if your standard rev3 is blanked off then I'm happy to blank it off and forget about it.
Do you know where the AC idle up valve vacuum line is on the inlet side on a rev 3?
Cheers

I've got an outlet on my rev3/st205 inlet manifold that I can't identify. It could be ac idle up, but can't find that in the bgb. It's the one in this photo, that the previous owner has fitted the aluminium fitting to: http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm18/Danbob101/IMG_20160618_140940_zpszyyebzxp...

Re: SW20 parts rev 3 turbo
Do you have the hard pipe cluster that bolts to the side of the inlet manifold for sale? The throttle body coolant pipes run to it.

Re: URGENT! I've locked my keys in the boot!!!
Easiest way has to be gently prising the drivers windowaway from the seal and feed a long piece of hooked wire down into the car, either go directly for the boot release or go for either of the door unlocks, maybe if it's a t bar it'll be easier.

[Mk2] [Turbo] NA / Turbo Engine mount differences - NA stiffer?
Something I've noticed while picking out the best mounts from my collection. One of them has a much less voided bush, and appears to have a slice of polyurethane through it. At first I thought this might be a TRD mount, but Ebay has the same bushes listed as NA. Think I'm going to use it, seems cons...

[Mk2] [Turbo] What is the "right" way to delete the fuel vapour charcoal canister
I'd like to get rid of the charcoal canister system on my car.
It's in the way of other more important hardware and I think it has a VSV actuator on it that will cause unnecessary complication.
Is there a "correct" way to delete it and reroute the fuel tank ventilation pipe?
Cheers
