Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic
Thanks :) Dad says that it should take around couple of days. Now I have to find measurements of the body, give a new (not damaged) front wing and a subframe with all the arms. Then they will try to straighen it. At least I have all the spare parts. And couple more videos for your judgment :) Best t...

Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic
One more onboard from go-kart track I know, it was too much sliding, but it was first time I was in a car on this track and one part of new surface was very slippery.
However, best time overall

Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic
Shell will be straightened, suspension will be changed and I should be ready to go again.
But still all this time spent on working with a car...
No insurance is valid on a race.
Here is the onboard of one stage. Best time overall.

Re: Track car with a low budget | Powered by Adaptronic
Did my first crash yesterday... Damn that was painful, for a car, not me. It was auto-x track so was going first time in it. It was 12th of 13 stage of a day and after fast straight (~3rd gear redline) followed 90 degrees left turn. It was too much speed, then trial braking, then snap oversteer and ...

Re: Backfire under load
Then next parts to replace - coil and igniter probably.
But you say it's backfiring not always? Then this is strange.

If it hits (the dp) its not opening fully restricting wg exhaust gas flow.
Then my question is why Toyota designed the DP like this? :/

Re: Backfire under load
I would start from ignition components like spark plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm, spark plug wires.

Image Replaced With URL For Quote that's the difference between berk and the cheap ones... restrictive at best, some are bad enough that the wastegate flapper hits them. But I think WG is supposed to hit DP? It hits stock DP as I saw marks on it. I had a DP that was fat like Berk and WG was not hit...

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Wolf v4x ecu any good
When I asked my tuner if he will map Adaptronic, he told it's not a problem even he tuned maybe only 1 of these. He told mapping basics are all the same, it's just different interface in different ECUs. So if tuner is not familiar with the ECU, it will just take more time for him to go through all t...

You might also want to consider thermal gaskets to both throttle body and intake manifolds junctions - should make a small difference to IAT's. I guess I need some drastic changes like bigger intercooler. 1.1 bar mate .. 50c+ after 3 pulls .. very reliable air charge temperature gauge [thumleft] Ta...

Re: Better turbo or bigger IC? Help me decide
From my experience over 11 years "nope" the less work it has to do the colder charge it will push :thumleft: My guess is that exhaust side is now too small and there is not enought flow tfor hot gases to exit and they come back to engine. Is that possible? The turbo is also creeping. kind...

Re: Better turbo or bigger IC? Help me decide
If you have a leak it (the turbo) will push harder (hotter) Surfaces are clean and all new genuine gaskets, so I doubt there are any leaks. Also new manifold and turbo bolts and nuts are all new. However after this weekend's race event some of the exhaust gasket blown, but it's probably turbo - dow...

Not being funny are you 100% sure thats the numbers .. i got 50c full boost full tilt on an ebay intercooler ... w/m got me 25c or less :thumleft: At least my MAT sensor is faulty, but I doubt it... It's new. But I would be happy that it's faulty and shows silly numbers :D But it shows ok at idling...
