Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Coolant bottle delete
With cap open and bleeding it won't have the full effect but for sure is the correct way to bleed. Once the system is closed, it will push out and suck back in based on vaacum only created when it's cooling back down. Gets hot, water and hoses expand, (and coolant into can), cooling down hoses go ba...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Coolant bottle delete
Ha it's cutting a fine line. But I'd never would have installed empty. But regular use maybe goes 2/3 and I'm left with literally a 1/4-1/2 pint id say. So my original 0.5ltr guess is not that faroff. When I had Hg issues in my old expansion tank that sucka would take over 5ltrs when I had an issue....

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Coolant bottle delete
I wanted to go with a clear system including a clear hose off the rad cap.
I could see this working before concluding I needed sort my HG on my Gen3.

Re: Car won’t idle and just dies.
Clean out the ISCV. It's a little valve under the throttle body that opens and bypassses the throttle body itself so there's air for the engine to run at idle. Yours could be sticky and not opening hence stalling. It's happened to many including myself. It's also a source for a boost leak if it's st...

Not seen a cracked rail before.
Worth fitting the other seals though for piece of mind.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Injector leak
if its not obvious, definitely worth removing rail from head, keep everything connected, and do the bridge fuel pump trick. i think B+ and FP (dont crank or turn car on) youll soon see where the leak is coming from with the rail in your hand. theres 2 that seal the fuel in. then 1 upper (like a dust...

Re: [Mk2] [Generic] Coolant bottle delete
the car expels like a 0.5-1ltr of fluid once up to temp and has had a little boost in it.
you should not be removing it at all! you are asking for a massive blow out or major rupture of a hose somewhere.
some cars expansion tanks work different to others, but you shouldnt be removing it.

Re: Noble M12 GTO-3R...
Car looks amazing from the outside but totally underwhelming from the inside, any plans to spruce that up ? What kind of time can these car do the standing quarter in ? How did you get on with the TD06 turbo in the mr2 ? They are rare but have a mental road pressence, are they still super unreliabl...

Couple of minor bits so far New breather kit, apparently oem one gets a little rusty internally, plus the new catchcan can vent to atmos nicely. https://i.imgur.com/6UBoyHA.jpg Quick view of the flat floor before i lopped off the breather kit hose overage. https://i.imgur.com/YhqxXNX.jpg Fuel pump a...

Cheers chaps, learning as i go. Already done 1000+ miles in it, joy to drive and be inside. No creature comforts really aside from the PS and AC. But thats how you save weight i guess, is only 1060kg officially. Wind up windows, HU passenger side, indicator stalks and heater unit from an old ford, s...

So some may or may not know, i got myself a Noble a few months back. I still own the MR2, its interior has been returned a little more to stock, but the car will be staying with me as long as possible! As per my other cars, i will be tweaking things slightly while retaining as many stock features as...

Re: JLW's ( REV 3 GT spec Turbo, smg Tbar ) YVS Performance Built
what carbon wrap are you using? removable? decent quality?
i thought about doing little bits, do you need to heat it to nicely go around tighter edges/corners?
