Rev 1/2 vs Rev 3+ gear shift.....

Is it true that the gearshift on a Rev 3 + has closer gear changes than that of a Rev 1/2??

If so, how much closer is it??

Re: My Super Red Rev 2.........

Almost correct.lol. When peeling the stickers off, the Taco Bell 1 on rear bumper took a massive chunk of paint with it. So instead of getting the bumper painted, i found a complete running Super Red Rev 3 G-limited local for 300quid. Got the bumpers, side strips, boot lid and spoiler, and rear ligh...

As above. Rev 1/2 or Rev 3?? I have a Rev 2 as my daily and a Rev 3 that im breaking. My Rev 2 was used for a charity road rally so was plastered with sponsor stickers when i got it. Got them all off the bodywork (nightmare) but the spoiler still has some vinyl on it. Its been done like an Italian f...

Re: High Revving N/A.....

I don't have pics but its easy to locate. Open the engine lid and look down from the drivers side. At the rear right hand side of the engine, where the oil dipstick is, you will see a large water hose. That hose goes into the thermostat housing. Remove the housing (iirc 2x 10mm nuts, 1 at the top wh...

Re: delimiter?

I made a thread about this sort of thing today.

Apparently, the de-limiter/convertor would be wired into the purple wire for the speedo.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What exhaust is this?

What about mine...

Its an N/A with outward rolled tips. Probably about 3.5" tips.

Sounds awesome, a bit raspy low down.

Changes note about 4 times from idle right up to the top of the rev range.

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Spare plug in engine bay......

My Rev 3 has this plug too but it goes into another plug, but i can't trace where the wire goes to.

Saying that, it does go down to around the A/C pump unit area.

Re: Import car and MPH/speedo convertor??

Found it. On the back of the actuall speedo itself, a board had been soldered in via 2 yellow wires and a red wire. On the board there is also 3 dials. 1 with 1% with the dial at 2. 1 with 10% with the dial at 6. And 1 with 100% with the dial at 0. What does that all mean?? And would that also remov...

Import car and MPH/speedo convertor??

Ok so i have a Rev 3 import that i am breaking, and plan on selling the dash cluster/speedo. What ways are there to convert the speedo to read in MPH and the mileage to clock up in miles and not KM. I have removed the clocks and can't see anything obvious attached to the back of the cluster. But the...

Re: [Mk2] [NA] Spare plug in engine bay......

Its a UK car and i don't think it had aircon. Well it dosn't have an aircon button and no radiator etc.

It must not be too important as i don't have any EML's on etc.

Rev 2 thermostat housing......

Right whilst fitting a thermostat to my Rev 2 N/A i noticed quite a large hole next to the water pipe, which was blocked off with a bolt. Im assuming theres supposed to be something in this hole, otherwise why would there be a bolt in it. Whats supposed to be in the hole?? Possibly a temp sensor?? I...
