The instructions are b...

[All] [Generic] EAGLE - conrod bolts

Hi peeps, anyone know the setting for Eagle ARP 7/16" conrod bolts?

I am having some trouble, the paperwork I have says it should be 75ft lbs but this has snapped one and badly stretched the other.

Oh where can I buy some more from as well...

Yes mate quite a few of these about, I enquired and Kris said he has people running 400bhp at the wheels on these kits in the US so there is plenty of scope for this setup.

Engine.

Mate - That engine does not sound like it's bottom end is shot, might just be the quality of the sound, but the bottom ends I have heard in the past sound like a clunk\knock which is louder when under load, but can be heard most of the time. That sounds more like the top end as it's when you rev it ...

thingy

Mate if that thing you have is just a lump of heavy rubber, it's likley to be a mass damper, we make exhausts for Land Rover and they have loads of them on it. You will see similar bits of heavy rubber on the subframe, they are used to change the parts harmonics and remove resonance. Of course if it...

oil

It says GL5 and as I understand that will do the trick.

You can use redlines MT90, I have a few times now and IMO it only very very slightly makes a difference.

Mate why did you buy REV2 leads for a REV1?

I agree with the guys but would say forget the leads for the time being go straight for the dizzy cap and rotor arm, these actually wear out where as the leads are usually* ok, make sure they are REV1 cap and rotor arm (if that's what you got).

To be honest I think Peter is a really nice guy and I do not mind having to wait a little while for things as I know I am going to benefit from his experience as a car enthusiast. Obviously when things seem to be dragging on the emotional nature of cars can make us all a bit "Wired", Peter...

8pots

Regarding the D2 8 pots, these are the same ones my mate has on his supra, they have some good stopping power and look ok.

He has a sensation of a warped disk and they have only covered about 200miles or so. Personally looking at the quality of the units they are not worth £1k.

Cams

TBH I thought as much, when I was on the yankie sites they say that the gen1 was totally stand alone (nothing interchangeable), looking at my rev1 head it has a couple of differences (manifold studs) and casting marks but 99% the same as my rev2. Thanks for the reply's, Iguess time will reveal all, ...
