we all know toyota launched the lexus brand in the late nineties, hence the need to deliniate toyota from lexus, and that might explain the mr2 going back to its roots in the mk3... but ffs why didnt lexus launch a revamped mk2 mr2 as a model, it wouldnt have been the work of a genius to design some...

the length of the manifold branches etc, and hence back pressure, is harmonically tuned so that the gas from the engine flows towards the atmosphere, hits a restriction at a certain point flows towards the valves, and ricochets back towards the atmosphere again creating a vacuum in nice time to help...

make sure you read some of the other tyre / wheel advice before you go buying new wheels as you can ruin the handling of these cars with the wrong wheels the basics are nothing larger than 17" and keep the rear tyres atleast two (ideally 3) sizes wider than the fronts ie 205/40/17 front and 225...

what about a multi throw data switch like ctc part no's cs14326 cs14327 or cs14332 which are 9 25 and 36 pin respectively... and less than a tenner :thumleft: you could relatively easily run some cable into th cab and back to the ecu with the switch in the middle so you can bypass the unichip? or if...

I'd recommend the autopista front skin, it goes over the oiginal one, i was actually going to buy it for one of my twos, but mikey doesnt want to post it #-o

if you want to go lime green you MUST kit it, nothing lairy mind you, say... toms/bomex front toms sides and rear sans side splitters? and bright silver 16/17 front rear split

thanks allan, that was why i want a standalone to run obd2 is to let the in dash computer display the values like a hks camp does.....

Im still at the nuts and bolts stage of my conversion from a rev one auto to a rev three turbo.... but I'm going to drop a standalone ecu in and was wondering if there are eny ecus that support obd2 output for my car computers software to play with?

no you dont need to do this, not for a STAND ALONE.... think about it... it STANDS ALONE not piggybacking on a stock ecu. what you need is an adapter cabel. AFIK - please correct me if i am wrong - most stand alone ecus installed in stock cars are connected to the stock wiring loom using a short ada...
