Re: [Mk2] [NA] Tyre size problem :(
Haven't come across it personally. But 45 sounds far to big for 17". I would of thought 30 - 35 would of been about right? Having said that a bit more stretch on the front would of missed it, as you had on your previous tyres...

Hope that makes some kind of sense? I'll try find a picture when I'm at a comp...

Re: My "Impulse Build" Rev1 (now 2) Turbo Project
Nothing for now as its a bit of an Animal anyway! Probably will be going back with the Nurspec fairly soon though. Eventually Im sure i'll start playing with it to get some decent reliable power from it. (350 - 400bhp?) So similar to my plans before: boot mount, fuelling & hybrid or bigger turbo...

As above, no point in a cheap paint job, you'll kick yourself when your cars left covered in orange peel.
A good place to go in Kent is Briley Coachworks near Cranbrook. Nice guys who know their stuff but don't charge the earth.

Re: Insurance for Turbo models?
Having spent a lot of time on the phone to Admiral over the last few days (on hold right now even) trying to explain various modifications to people who clearly don't have a clue about cars! I am defiantly going to a more specialist insurer at renewal time! "Intercooler, I-N-T-E-R-C-O-O-L-E-R&q...

A lot of love going into this, looks gorgeous.
Did you ever have any problems with overheating under the glass? I've been working on a 2 where we just replaced the vents on the engine lid with glass and grafted some vents between the 2. Works pretty well.

Can anyone recommend or know of a good system that includes remote start and has a turbo timer built in?
